The exam arc in hunter x hunter is a lot more cleverly written, creative and interesting, it's less tournement but more challenges and trials.

It was pretty hard to follow and the translation was a little rough, but it was decent I suppose.

Haven't read TWGOK but Beelzebub has had consistently hilarious chapters for the last few weeks and the new "arc" so to speak has been great so far.
I think Beezlebub is the best ongoing Shonen manga atm. I could never get past a few chapters of TWGOK.

I have no idea where you got that from. That wouldn't even make sense - Eureka is pretty clearly his mom, but I didn't see anything in that chapter that referenced Renton at all. Moreover, that scenario making sense would require that Eureka and Renton got a divorce and then Eureka had sex with Renton's son with another woman.

I'm going to assume that the consequences of the lie Kimura told is going to play out later in the game? Because as it stands I don't see the point of it if everyone is still willing to team up with Nao (especially with her trying to sacrifice her self again at the end of the chapter).

Genuinely surprised but still skeptical about Saiko and Shujin's anime. Definitely happy by the "possible" story progress but I just can't see the authors not trying to extend the story somehow.

Having an anime does increase the popularity of the source work, so it'll be interesting to see how Eiji will combat that without one of his own. I'm guessing there's only one spot because the series will be in the same timeslot Crow was in, and it'll be a series that doesn't have seasons (unlike the Bakuman anime) but just goes right through to the end without breaks.
I'm very pleased that they got an anime so the manga is closing in a bit faster to its end.

So I read Hunter x Hunter over again, this time with my fiance. She has caught up and loves it. She calls it her "crack". She loves the dynamic between Killua and Gon. And she was literally moved to tears with the conclusion of the arc with the King and Komugi. Tears.
So together, we have read the Masterbation Kurosawa manga and Hunter x Hunter. I wonder what series I should have her read next.

Itou takes the verbal abuse too easily. Haru has a really bitchy personality.
But I really like Maya Miyazaki's art, so even such a weird story (about a girl coming out of the DVD Drive of a PC and a body the size of a bug) with lousy characters is enough for me.

Started reading this with no prior knowledge about what the main plot would be about, and i have to say I'm rather impressed, as the first volume has been a pretty nice read.

I am glad that i read a lot of manga or waiting for Bleach would have been much more painful than it already is. Well the small Bleach info make the wait much easier too. This is the last week before the new chapter is out. I can´t wait.
My main problem is that I find the conflict they created to be stupid. When you got a manga selling about a million copies without an anime, then it's really not a big deal that you don't get an immediate anime adaptation. Sure Reversi sales will jump from 500k to 1 million but it's just a temporary advantage that will be negated the instant Zombie Gun anime airs.
