Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru: 123-128

Damn, Actor Kid was made to look like a punk. No mercy.

Minoru's got hops. Should think about starring in a basketball manga.

Everything is done through paypal, you can't use a credit card directly. Lame.

I believe all App Store sales go through your iTunes account. Unless something has changed recently the only way Viz can sell subscriptions via the app is if it's through Apple. For example, all volume purchases in-app are done using your iTunes funds. (They can opt to just not let you sub using the app, though - is that option there?)

Not surprised their system failed on debut. It's middleware and likely wasn't stress tested at all. Should get better over time, at least...

I pre-ordered a subscription through their website. They say they take Visa, Mastercard, etc... but only the paypal button worked. Doing it through the App Store would work as you say.

I still can't access the issue through either the website or iPhone App. Hopefully they work out their teething troubles quickly.

History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi 462 - For a fight scene, not ... much really happened. More "REMINDS ME OF THE OLD MAN!" and some more
Miu's brainwashing falling apart
. At least the masters are on the scene now so hopefully the master's fight wipes out the meh of the disciple one.

Negima 351:

Either they're about to pull a big ass time-skip, or something's gonna prevent Asuna from going through with the whole "frozen for 100 years" thing. There's no way Ken will actually leave her off the screen for the rest of the manga.

Particularly not when she has to get with Negi

she need to get off the manga for an arc or two for other girl to truly have a chance at Negi, as long as she's here, her status of 'female main character' is just screwing up the battle for number 1 spot.

anyway, I'm thinking she'll comeback from 100 years in the future using time machine like Chao did.

Asuna didn't appear for approximately 100 chapters before reappearing without any lines because she was unconscious the entire time. She doesn't need to take a break.

Hunter x Hunter 21-30

Wow this guy looks fucking creepy HOLY SHIT KILLUA JUST RIPPED OUT HIS FUCKING HEART.

Then of course, we have the Forest of Death, but again, better. HISOKA'S FACE IS TERRIFYING.

Tsuna never fails to deliver the hysteria, confusion, and faces and turn it around into an epic moment, definitely one of my top five manga mains. Amazing chapter.

Iemetsu is gonna be destroyed.

Eureka Seven AND Astral Ocean spoilers ahoy:

I have no idea where you got that from. That wouldn't even make sense - Eureka is pretty clearly his mom, but I didn't see anything in that chapter that referenced Renton at all. Moreover, that scenario making sense would require that Eureka and Renton got a divorce and then Eureka had sex with Renton's son with another woman.

Yeah, no. I think can safely assume Renton is either the father OR Eureka just lived a lot longer than Renton did since she isn't human.

I know it doesn't make sense... even the year doesn't make sense:
If it really is 2025 AD, it predates the Scub Coral's arrival to Earth (did they go back in time?)... for that matter, what are they doing in Okinawa? It still exists 10,000+ years from now? I'm throwing all reason out the door since, right now, narrative is sparse and it can go anywhere. I think Gramps looks and acts like Renton (his hair and him glancing at the picture, talking to it). In a way, he is a reflection of Renton's own grandfather from the original series. I'm guessing Eureka left Earth (with the Scub Coral, since Okinawa is there, and it wasn't in E7 due to the SC being on Earth). With that said, it stands to reason that Renton perhaps stayed and grew old... left with Ao somehow.

LOL, I think Ken's headed that route honestly. As long as he clears up that "are they related or not" part with a "no they aren't" then I'm okay with a Negi/Asuna ending.

Was thinking the same thing because it's hard to please everyone out there all the time so there will always be whiners.

I just read it. Very confusing but...
what I got from it is that it takes place in the past on pre-scrub coral Japan. Also gramps looks like Renton's gramps, so I think he's Renton. Some weird time travel crap going on or something.

It's seems pretty clearly in the future, not the past, given that it was fairly clear that Ao's mother was Eureka and given E7's story, Eureka was literally found as a blank slate created by the Scub Coral, so she couldn't have had a story prior to that.

I'm putting my money on it being well into the future and Renton, Gekkostate, etc. all died, but Eureka was still alive by being, you know, an alien. Just WMG though.

Given that the world literally forgot leaving the entire planet in E7, I wouldn't put a ton of stock in whatever "year" they claim it is. Not to mention the fact they still have pretty advanced robots.

Holyland: 136-150

Hoo! Looks like some fun stuff is about to pop off next volume. I can't wait to see what Batman Kamishiro will do. As dumb as it was, beating the shit out of a moving car was a badass moment in my eyes.

Man, seeing Yagi freak the fuck out because of a delirious with anger Kamishiro was pretty hilarious and satisfying.

I'm interested in seeing how the match-ups with the two MMA dudes and Shougo are gonna play out. I'm thinking Tsuchiya and Kamishiro against the MMA dudes and Izawa against Shougo. I figure Tsuchiya being a wrestler would probably fare better against the MMA dudes than most so far so he might want a crack at them.
Nah let him stick to an interesting sport.
Damn. So cold.

Hey, man, Slam Dunk and REAL are good reads! (Even if the latter being interesting has little to nothing to do with the sport itself...)

I almost forgot this was fucking DTL.

I HATED this chapter. Seriously...Tsuna is the exact same maggot that he was in Chapter 1. Fuck you for making Adult Reborn's first appearance in the manga a brief tutorial, Amano.

And Tsuna still shouldn't be able to beat Iemetsu. It wouldn't make sense.

I don't know if they'd do that though, considering people would be mega salty if
Eureka slept with some future dude she met that wasn't Renton and had his child.

But it's only 2025AD. Eureka 7 was over 10,000 years after the exodus from Earth. A character doesn't state the year, the author does. The technology is more current (the aircraft carrier) and they're in Japan... So they forgot everything about Earth, and for some reason did not keep track of time while in space, but still remember Okinawa? I know there was a fake sky in the first series, but there is no way this is in the future.

Particularly not when she has to get with Negi

ZING

I bailed on this series in the magical world arc around the time
Fate came back from being orbital lasered
I thought it was implied that
Asuna is Negi's aunt? She was a princess the (possibly?) the younger sister of Negi's mother and that was why she looks like his sister. Maybe I'm just getting crossed over on some other shit I was reading at the time.

Asuna
actually predates Arika, from what I remember. The people of the Magic World used her and her power as a weapon and then sealed her in stasis when they didn't need her, IIRC. In one of the flashback chapters someone mentions how she's at least 200 years old.

E7AO I'll put up with this spoiler shit for a bit, but I'll probably get tired of it since this is a non-spoiler tag thread.

Except like the Nirvash is there and the Nirvash's body itself was built by Adroc. That and Ao is pretty clearly Eureka's son.

I don't think it's unreasonable that Eureka would find another guy if Renton and everyone else she knew died of being old and she just lived on for a long ass time.

As I said before

Amano throws away all rules when it comes to Logic. This is a rule of KHR

Anyway cool trumps logic, so its just plain awesome no matter how no good tsuna wins.

Except like the Nirvash is there.

But isn't that against it being in the future?
The Nirvash became the new command cluster and left Earth at the end of E7. And even if it was the Nirvash after becoming the command cluster and, why can't it time travel if Eureka and Renton can? Dude, TIME TRAVEL. Renton and Eureka go back in time, have a kid, Eureka dies, Renton gets old, Ao doesn't age as fast or something.

Oh, it's not unreasonable from a real life standpoint. But it would piss off a bunch of fans of the show in all likelihood. XD

Director: "We're making a sequel to Eureka Seven!"
Fans: "Yay!"
Director: "It has Eureka's son in it!"
Fans: "Yay!!!"
Director: "Her son with another man after Renton, who you spent the entire last series watching and rooting for, died of old age! You don't get to see a story about THEIR child, you get a story about Eureka and Mr. New Lover's child!"
Fans: "...What the fuck?"

I don't know about that... in E7 it was hard enough for a regular human to bond with a coralean without some ramifications. For her to find another seems, unlikely... given Renton's determination and sacrifice towards the end of the first series.

I just noticed (sigh... more spoiler)
We don't see any skyfish at all... which makes me even wonder if there's trapar waves (raising another question, how will Nirvash fly). It very well may be the past. It's confusing, but I'm certain that's Renton we're seeing.

I wouldn't be particularly surprised either if the Coral just produced another kid and he isn't *actually* Eureka's kid.

I don't think we ever saw what the Nirvash looked like before Ardoc modified it, and it kept changing itself throughout the series. In the final episode it looked nothing like it did at the start.

I believe that we did.

En Passant

Not really how I expected the series to end, but it was amusing I guess. Now THAT'S how you use pessimism to your advantage. Usopp could learn a thing or two from this.

Naruto

I reread the chapter and Naruto´s coat looks like the sage of 6 paths. Now i am thinking that Naruto is a direct descendant of the sage. He has the sage body, and by the end of the manga he will be the next coming of the sage.

I think the whole point is to retire the Ninjas entirely.

Hoozuki Island vol 2-4 [END]

Well, it was an interesting read with a conclusion that wasn't bad, but that disappointed me a little bit. The build up though was pretty good, with the mystery/horror bits done pretty well.
Some things are clear even before the end, but thanks to certain expressions the characters make, I wasn't ever 100% sure of it and that's another thing I liked about it.

Bakuman (ch164)

-lol

Bakuman is unintentionally funnier then Gintama. How many decisions is jump going to make based on making the mangaka compete? It is a business. EiC would just be like "What do you think will make more money? Well...probably Zombie Gun. OK, do that. I choose you Eijichu!" (well, last line is pushing it).

They've pulled this card so often. I get that this is a manga and it is sort of pointless without the burning passion crap. And it would be sort of drab if everything was just balancing ledgers. Still stupid though.

Though by Bakuman's standards this chapter was tolerable. Doesn't say much but what can you do.
