She's the best selling female artist, i dont think being outdone by the new girls is a problem, she's Madonna she dont give 2 shits :lol
 
Not liking the song. The L.U.V. stuff has me facepalming, and the song indeed doesn't have much oomph to it. But that is a problem all of Solveigs productions have. I'm not a fan of Masterpiece either. So that's two songs we've heard from the album, and I don't like either. Good start...


The video however, seems surprisingly fun. Didn't expect that, considering the first pics of it showed...oh boy, cheerleaders... But it makes sense. The theme seems to be superbowl: football players, cheerleaders, ... and of course baby carriers.
 
I like Stuart Price's solo work, but I thought his Madonna album was pretty bad compared to the other two. The producers are the only reasons I listened to her. Ray of Light and Frozen are fantastic.

it's not bad, but every time i hear nicki minaj, my hair cells die off a bit.

edit: also, i'm now listening to "into the groove." it's one of my favorite madonna songs.
 
I LOVE the video. No pretentious message. No bullshit narrative. Fun, tongue firmly in cheek, light-hearted, DIVA STRUT.

I'll repeat though, not my kinda of song. But at least it's a funny pop song that won't annoy me when it's played to death on the radio.
 
I actually liked it! It's the kind of fun, poppy song that is going to get in people's minds and you'll hear them whistle it at work.

Also to the people arguing between Madge and Gaga, you all can step off because the REAL Queen of Pop is Kylie Minogue bitches. ;)

To release a pop single today, apparently you need:

-NES synthesized beats
-Synthesized vocals, even if the artists vocals are good enough to carry on their own
-Numerous other "Featured" artists, even though hardly anyone has heard of them
-Lyrics that can be written by a 10 year old
-A quick rap in the middle of the song, because even the music can't carry itself anymore


Yep, she checked all of those on the "Pop" checklist.
