Both Gamaran and TB:NW are awesome right now and Fairy Tail reminded me of Assassins Creed multiplayer .
 
Sanctuary Vol 1-6

Now I get why this series is so hyped. The art, the characters, the reactions, the story, they are all awesome, since the begining it hasnt slow down. It is already in my top 5.

Reminds me of that screw up in a certain chapter of Nyan Koi!—the one where Junpei was sick. Kaede's proportions were all screwed up on one of the pages... It was corrected in the tankobon though.

Superlate quote, but whatever, I just finished this series too and am mostly in agreement with everything you said, even if that twist right at the end felt ultra-contrived. And not having anyone translating the sequel is just another of the many unfair things in life, I suppose.
Also, I think someone else here said this, but reading through this series and not being such a go-getter in my personal life makes me feel lazy as hell.

e: Also also, Sekiya Tetsuji draws some of the best "serious mode" faces I've ever seen.

Naruto is getting ready to go HAX mode. In any case, this arc needs to start winding down or at least give us a good indication as to where it is leading to because it's beginning to drag on at least to me.

Fairy Tail

Was I the only person who got a strong Assassin's Creed multiplayer vibe from this? I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he took inspiration from the game for the idea of Hidden. Decent chapter.

Considering her niche, you'd expect things to be a bit different.

I actually read the first chapter of both Sanctuary and Zetman the same time years ago when Kishi first started to hype them, so that's next on my list, though I really don't like the idea of start on ongoing Seinen series.

I watched it up until the end of the Soul Society arc. Since then I've just been keeping up to date by watching all the fights and the dialogue in them. I've got the gist of what's happened up till now actually.

The fullbring arc kinda left me disappointed. Though I'm kinda stoked about this final arc.


I just didn't mention it because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to talk about it in detail. Though I suppose I could always provide my impressions on upcoming bleach chapters anyway.

If I was MC's age, I would be spending pretty much all of my time attempting to have sex with whoever my girlfriend was. I'm just saying, that's pretty much what makes these dumb series so unrealistic and annoying. It's the same thing with RageTown.

Those stats are dumb and meaningless - the US population is regressive also if you don't count immigration.

And now we just caught a glimpse at the final boss. I hope they will show his reaction to the package next chapter.
 
Hyde & Closer end

Not as rushed as I thought it would be. I'm still thinking this got cancelled, but at the very least things were wrapped up nicely. It ending is more disappointing because of how much potential the world has rather than loose ends.

Anyway, great series. Some very nice and tactical magic battles with some neat character development. I've always been a fan of the "defeat means friendship" trope, so with the 2 serial killers near the end joining the good guys was nice. Maybe the final battle could have been longer, but it was good nonetheless.

Looks like I should check out this guy's current series, though it does seem to be COMPLETELY different.

Damn it. I need them to explain all the nonsense! The magic world is a reflection of mars over the ocean of the moon or something.

And I'll pay money money for someone to animate the fights in this manga. I am a sucker for magic circles.

High School DxD 1-10 (all so far)

Action harem fighting manga thing about a guy who becomes a devil fighting against fallen angels (so far, they're the opponents). Yeah, I wasn't really expecting to like it, but ended up reading all ten chapters one after another, so I guess I kind of did... so yeah, it's okay and did keep me reading. The cast and plot are mostly generic, but there are some somewhat different elements to it, and it is entertaining. The plot's okay enough to do, too. There's quite a bit of fanservice too, but a welcome absence most of the usual anime female reactions (Rias, the female lead, just doesn't care at all about being seen naked, for instance). The MC is perverted and basically is thinking about girls almost all of the time, and as always for anime leads is kind of stupid too, but he's not really unlikable. The cast a a whole's nothing special, but they're just interesting enough to do.

Despite the concept, this series, so far anyway, really isn't depressing. That's nice. I hope it stays that way. The main characters are all devils though, but they don't exactly do much of anything demonstrably evil that's shown... either they're not particularly evil devils, or that side of things is not shown in order to make the main characters more likable as protagonists. I don't know which it is, some of both probably. Oh, and the MC? Apart from wanting a harem, he's not evil at all I'd say, so far anyway.

The US birthrate, not counting immigration, is 2.06, one of the highest among first-world nations and only barely under replacement (2.1). The Japanese one is 1.21, one of the world's lowest. Now in the US immigrant groups do have the highest birthrates, but still, the US birthrate is far above Japan's, it's not close.

Was it unpopular in Japan? That could well have led to a cancellation... as for that first paragraph though, eh, I don't know. I can think of plenty of ways they could use that plot concept for stupid hijinks, but it does a lot less of them than you might have expected, to its credit. But still, it doesn't really seem like there was nowhere more it could go... I don't know though, maybe you're right and the author wasn't liking it as much as they had thought at first. It is a reasonably good series for its genre though, I think.

Ok I'm dropping the manga. I read the third volume and it's still the same shit.

Wandering Son vol 1

Beautiful. Way different start than the anime, but I'm preferring this better. My only complaint is that the panels don't flow that well but it's just a minor issue.
