Madonna's New Single: Give Me All Your Luvin'

I've been looking for the whole 20/20 interview.

I think she restrained herself quite a bit but she couldn't resist being coy. She gets that question so much it's hard to blame her.
 
She was pretty much ON THE MONEY though.

Even noted fangirl Cynthia was grinning like a Cheshire cat.

GMAYL has the highest radio debut in her career in the US, second highest ever.

Also Gaga posted "Born this way" link (with bold WRITTEN BY LADY GAGA) on her facebook just before Madonna's video premiere yesterday.

i cant fathom why, the song is really boring. I don't understand the current obsessions with this new Madonna track, and Lana Del Rey. I don't think I've lost touch with todays music, but i still cant understand whats so stand out about these 2 efforts.

I think people are just excited because it's the first song Madge has released in 4 years.

And I still can't get into this track. Probably the worst (Madonna) lead single ever. It's really bad. The best thing about this song are the Nicky and MIA parts.

Because that's how pop music works. Since the internet and mp3s the whole industry is on amphetamines. New artists and singles get hyped to hell and back, records get shattered on a weekly basis (and they mean next to nothing), songs shoot to the top of the charts only to fall off a cliff just a few weeks later, ...

Get Together > Hung Up

Give It To Me > 4 Minutes

She just plays it safe for the lead single. It's a little benign, but it's catchy.

If you listen carefully, what's inside the songs, you hear sounds never before used, mixed and blended to give as a result a once in a singer's career product.

lol, I actually liked 4 minutes. Couldn't stand the rest of the album. Went in the trash pretty quick.

Die Another Day > American Life or Hollywood as far as singles from American Life.

Really? I agree that most of the album was trash but Give it 2 Me is one of the most energetic tracks she's ever done.

I had to go listen to it make sure we were discussing the same song. I think it's one of her worst singles...I'm glad it failed.
 
Confessions had jump + sorry which were both great. Hung up is a classic track though. I quite like th confessions tour DVD album. It's good.

Yeah it's hard to really dislike it, even though there's 101 reasons to. It isn't Frozen, or even Music, but then it isn't trying to be.

I think it works because it is unashamedly throwaway pop, not trying to be anything else. While other pop artists are trying to dress the most basic stuff up as somehow profound, Madonna is ripping heads off football players and throwing babies around.

It is quite refreshing :)
 
If I had to guess who is the target audience, it would be young girls and female teenagers.

It REALLY sounds like something my nieces (13 and 10) would sing the whole day. I can picture them jumping singing " L! U! V! Madonna!..."

pretty ballsy from Madonna going for that, she does not content herself with catering to her longtime fans (most of them around thirty) but even wants more of them, wants to remain an influence in the industry.

that means no Ray of lights or Confessions for us the older fans, sad but understandable.

It's too bad about her career, though. Bionic was career killing bad.

Just because she has a BIGGER voice doesn't equal better talent. It's all about artistry and technique and she is a mess, especially with her ad libs. Mariah is one of the top divas with good artistry.

Her bloody At Last performance was pretty bad yeah.
I don't like it when she yells like that.

That's debatable. Point is that they're both good and have respectable qualities to them in their field.
Same goes for Madonna, Beyonce, Gaga, and even Katy, Rihanna and Kesha. Basically everyone other than Britney Broken Spearit.


There is no denying that your busted ugly fav is at the very bottom of the pop food-chain.



Can't dance, sing, perform. Lost her spark, personality, beauty, charm, etc.
What the fuck is she good for other than your pity?
