Do people remember when sky first got hold of football?

There was fireworks, cheerleaders and inflatable sumo wrestling on Monday night football at half time!

Ah yes. It was amusing for a while. Then everyone was like "None of that nonsense please. We're British." Same reason ochestrated chanting like they have in Europe never caught on. It's just not really, us.
 
I was surprised to see that what some berk on 606 said of AVB is true:

He really does take an almost subbuteo-like approach to telling his players what to do, moment to moment. I dunno the extent to which they hear or see him, but he barely stops.
 
Just for something positive regarding AVB. Thought his post match interview was really classy, despite that ridiculous opening comment from the interviewer. He was extremely complimentary of the United team and their performance today. Said Hernandez was one of the best strikers in the world (Maybe he is a bit mental).

I have hope regarding AVB. He's made some mistakes tactically (in general I don't like his substitutions) and he has come across poorly sometimes in the media but I think that given time he'll turn Chelsea around.
 
I think all this halftime show crap and commercials take away from the actual game being played. Nowadays people care more about the ads and the halftime show than the actual match. I'm glad there's none of that nonsense in the CL final, aside maybe from the opening ceremony, but even that oozes class and you don't see shitty flavor-of-the-week artists in those. the protagonists should be the teams, the players not fucking madonna.

I'm fucking sick to death of the CL anthem. One of the few things I liked about the World Cup in South Africa was their use of Bob Marley. Any other country would have played some generic classical theme. South Africa stuck two fingers up to that idea. Very refreshing.
 
CL anthem is amazing, nothing like hearing that! Was amazing when Tottenham were in it last season. (I am a Spurs fan!)

Big game for us tonight against Liverpool, we need a win to then go 3 points behind United, with them to play at home in a few weeks.

So I missed a lot of drama. Anyone got some plot synopsis of it? I see Kermit was shitting on Serie A, the best league in the world, so he obviously deserved his ban.

Oh I see it's all about bo-locks now, which is really not surprising seeing as he is amazingly wrong and should feel bad for being so wrong. Hearing the CL anthem on the stadium gives you fucking goosebumps. It's always good fun trying to outsing it though. That europa league anthem however... Please kill it.

I was in barca for the Viktoria Plezen game, my first ever CL game and the effect of that theme was amazing to me. I had goosebumps all over me. Shit is Fantastic.

Yeah it's fantastic. Don't want it to ever change, it's just one of those that is so good already that there's no need to try and make it better.

I was surprised he lasted that long, especially with calling that k-pop crap = pedo-gaf and saying Salazar was busy over there. Thought that would have been a instant ban especially coming off one already.

Holy shit. Perhaps that was brought to a mod's attention, either way, it's a pretty harsh thing to say and I'm not fond of K-Pop in the slightest.

Jesus I feel for those who choose NFL as their main sport. I mean, it's perfectly watchable, and it was entertaining for those final few minutes in the last quarter, but outside of that the whole thing's a bit of a bore. Even Morrisons Biere Speciale couldn't keep me fully entertained for the whole game.

The best thing to come out of the Super Bowl is Sunhi received a highly appropriate custom tag related to his insane .gifs.
