Has Bakuman shown any signs of ending soon?

I kinda sorta dropped it... Thought it wouldn't take too long to wrap up and I'd just read it on through to the end.

Yeah, Bakuman looks like it could be wrapping up soon, but at this point it wouldn't surprise me if they pulled some bullshit to keep it going longer.

"What is your feeling toward Sasuke now that he has gone through drastic change throughout the series?
Sasuke is always in the corner of my mind. Naruto and Sasuke progress as a pair. So when I write about Naruto, I always have to think about Sasuke. They are on opposite sides of the spectrum, like yin and yang."

OH GOD THIS IS SO CHEESY I CAN'T HANDLE

Ok well this is a list of the manga I'm currently keeping up with:

- Naruto
- Bleach
- One Piece
- Hajime no Ippo
- Berserk
- Medaka Box
- Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
- Fairy Tail
- History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi

What should I be reading also? Last time I read HxH, it was the arc with the crazy ant stuff and I stopped. Never read Bakuman, Toriko, etc. Suggestions?

he says deidara is his favorite zombie since he could best make use of the perks while itachi is his favorite out of the organization.

if only Deidara actually made use of the perk Kishi is referencing :(

i wonder if in anime filler they're gonna extend the war. i'm hoping they will because there is a gigantic ton of things they can do.

Beelzebub 143:

"Where the hell are you looking while saying that?"

A little out of date but still relevant.

Shingeki no Kyojin
Vinland Saga

Shueisha doesn't give a shit, they're going to push Toriko cause the readership is high in the actual serialization. There's various forms of popularity and in the public's eyes, Toriko will never be as big as Naruto and Bleach, but in Jump's eyes it's already there aka your just mad an actual manly ass manga instead of a manga with a bunch of twinks is taking up the reign.

High readership in serialization don't mean as much these days compare to before .
Some Shueisha guys were talk about that same thing a year or two , that weekly and monthly magazines are just becoming advertisement for Vol sales.
That is where the real money comes from now since most people just rather buy a Vol of the manga they like than get the week or monthly magazines.
If you don't think Shueisha push Toriko to get it's Vols up or that they don't care about it your kidding you self .

This doesn't seem odd at all, seeing that most people read the magazines in convenience stores without buying them.

I forgot to mention that weekly and monthly magazines are also good advertisement for new series.
They know that the old days of making huge amount of money from subscription gone.
In fact it has been gone for over 2 plus decades .

I didn't say that they didn't, but rather, since Toriko has a lot of fans in their eyes that brings it an opportunity to push it as the next big thing. Unfortunately it seems any fans it has doesn't want to actually purchase Toriko. Maybe this is the result piracy has on manga in Japan. A popular series, but a meh financially.

Denpa Kyoushi

This is starting to become TWGOK mixed in with the already established (and referenced) GTOness of the series.
No harem though. Junichirou is more of the solving mysteries type. So there is a dash of that and Keima doesn't really do that. He just does his route business.

The twists thus far have been fairly entertaining and the nicknames are pretty funny. Fries? Really? But I'm not sure how much steam you can get out of a GTO series without some theme. This isn't a tale of delinquents or anything. Shit will get boring if it is just a bunch of solving bullying scenarios e.g. Iris Zero.

Definitely add these to your active list:

- The World God Only Knows
- Beelzebub

Or you're missing out.

Bakuman and Toriko are better as catch-up manga IMO, you don't really have to be active with those and the chapters don't really end with cliffhangers.

What were the rules that the Hunters in the Hunters Association have to abide by? Anyone have a link or remember?

what do you guys think would happen if killua kills illumi? would he face any punishment? would he be praised instead for being powerful enough to kill his brother?

Thanks. I'm wondering whether Pariston will have the 5,000 Chimera Ants recovered either become obstacles in the Hunter Exam (Basically slaughtering anyone that doesn't have a decent amount of skill) or if he is going to try and prove the rules are broken by having all 5,000 take the Hunter Exam. These are all Hybrid Chimera Ants that can use Nen, which is the minimum amount needed. Also it doesn't specify that only humans can become Hunters.

Temp hunters should violate rule 1. Hunting for temporary jobs is a bullshit excuse.

HXH

Since Gon and Ging met, Gon´s journey/goal/purpose for being a hunter is over. Now what?

That wasn't really Gon's purpose. He wanted to learn why his father would choose being a hunter over raising him. Not like "why'd you leave me!?!" but "hunters must have a lot of fun! I want have fun too!" There's no end goal for Gon. It's open ground for adventuring. Same case for Killua, Hisoka, and many others in that universe. Kurapica and Leorio were characters with established goals.

I don´t think Hisoka could even hurt Illumi let alone Killua. Killua cannot even touch him at the moment.
I don't think Hisoka's strength can be judged that way. His fighting is basically trolling the opponent until they do themselves in. He gives off the feeling that every semi-strong person could beat him if only they didn't fall for his shit (but they always do)

Killua did some crazy shit in the invasion but yeah I dunno about Illumi.

Come on guys, one delayed hiatus and we forget about Jairo?

who the fuck is jairo

what? hisoka is one of the most powerful characters in the damn series how could he not hurt illumi or killua?

I would say that hisoka might even be the strongest guy in series at end of the day .
He fears no one , plus when illumi wanted to mess with gon he had to back off because of hisoka.
Hisoka is most likley going to be Gon end goal if anything.

he even considers silva one of his toys so that should tell you how powerful he must really be.

Nah, Hisoka wanted to challenge Netero during the exams, and the latter didn't give him the time of day. He's strong, but I still think people like Ging, Kuroro, and Silva are stronger than him.

God Tier is

Netero
King
Kuroro
Silva
Zeno
Ging
Pariston

I don't think Hisoka could touch any of those guys. But I do think that Hisoka is the strongest outside of those people. Hisoka and Illumi might be on the same level.

Arachnid 1-13

Spidergirl, spidergirl, does whatever a spidergirl does.

At first it was all serious assassin business. That was pretty cool. Then it became more crazy and comical. That's pretty cool too. It's a pretty cool series.

It's hard to compare him to the rest of the Zodiac, since he only ranked the crappy ones. I'd probably at least put Cheadle above him too considering how she was the most featured after Ging/Pariston.

I'm thinking about start reading HxH but I've got a hard time letting bad things go. I read Bleach and Naruto even tho I don't really think they are worthwhile but "hey since I already know this much about the series I should see the end of it"

So, knowing this, should I start reading HxH or I'll be in the same dilemma in some arcs/parts of the manga?

HxH is much much better than Naruto and Bleach.

It doesn't hurt to give it a read. At least finish up the hunters exam arc and then see how much you like the series. For what it's worth HxH battles are much more interesting than Naruto/Bleach ones.

The art sucks. There's no getting around it. Naruto pre-timeskip had the best art out of the three, so there's that.

The writing is better than the other two. It's still shonen. But there's a sense that Togashi at least knows what he's doing, and where he's going. Shin York is great. Etc.

So: start reading.

Other than her so called accolades, I am not impressed by Cheadle. Hisoka had 0 interest in the election and Ging + Pariston made her look like a fool. I have no doubts in battle that someone like Hisoka would be overbearing to her.

Composure is a big part of battle strength I guess, and someone who is easily flustered can have the tides turned against him/her quickly against guys like them.

There are other strong characters. Uvogin (strike'd) and other Ryodan members might stand up to him. Or Razer from the dodgeball game on Greed Island. Other hunters too.

The clearest concept of strength given in HXH was Hisoka's own judgement early in this arc. And while he ranked Illumi the highest, it's not even clear if Hisoka is as strong as Illumi.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I don't mind the art if it doesn't confuse me much.

Going to read it after I finish Ciguatera.

Razer and company (company being ging's other accomplices) are probably just below Ging...so yeah. As for other Ryodan members, I'm not so sure.

Kurapica in his SWAG YorkShin mode >>>>> all of these characters, though.

He wanted to fight Kuroro but gave up after he lost his power plus he was picking a fight with everyone in the exams.
The thing is we know he strong but not how strong he really is cause he is a huge troll.
This same guy that lost his arm in fight because he could .
Still like others said Ging should be the strongest in the series.
