I can certainly see this. The whole thing has a pretty grim feeling of hopelessness that's barely improved 13 chapters in.
I stopped reading around there too. Has the story progressed plotwise or is it still playing out the ayumi-chihiro triangle/shenanigans?
Plot is going full speed, you won't be disappointed on that end.

All right, been going full force to catch up with naruto (stopped at the end of Pain . . )
Naruto: Pain ending - Bee and Raikage fist bump flash back . .
First off . . Sharigan arm? What the fuck, man.
Anyway, the fight with the Nine Tails fox was pretty baller and the war holds up for the most part, but I can't help feeling the entire pacing of the manga is thrown off by an insurmountable flood of flash backs! Characters I don't care about, never heard of or don't remember (or hell even the ones I do care about) getting story backgrounds that add nothing to the overall significance or plot that I can find. I'd be really interested in reading an edited cut without them to see how it would help pacing. As it is, for every good punch the manga is throwing, they're just bogged down by a sense of last minute, asspull backstory for everyone. It's sad that I've been putting off reading for forever because arcs and pacing are always truly had in volume form and it's still kind of a chore to get through.
The good thing is that even as one dimensional as Naruto's "Hope! Peace! I will do the impossible!" mantra is, I really do buy it. Something about the boys just relentlessness gets to me I guess. That and his ninetails mode is baller.

It's a shame this quest ended so quick. Having all the Heavenly Kings together isn't something that happens often, but it was a fun chapter nonetheless. Hell, just seeing Zebra in action again automatically made this a good chapter.
I wonder what the next ingredient for the Ehou Maki will be. It's clear Shimabukuro is full of ideas, as this arc is basically a fetch quest within a fetch quest, but as long as they're fun and inventive I don't mind how long it'll take to get to the Gourmet World. Still, I'm itching to see more fights with the Bishokukai...

Wow, FT has really been picking up since the TS. Each and every chapter since has been pretty good (apart from partying in the Spirit World), so let's hope Mashima has finally got his act together. I've been recently re-reading it, and the earlier chapters had some cool fights, relying on strategies rather than asspulls.
Anyway, Rufus' magic was great. Looking forward to seeing more from both ST and RT, especially the masked knight. Flare seems pretty interesting as well. Hopefully she'll be fleshed out compared to past villains, as she has a cool design, and seems to really have it in for Lucy.

Guys, do you think KHR and Deadman Wonderland are good manga? The only continuous shounens I am following right now are One Piece and Pandora Hearts. Thinking about adding Deadman Wonderland and KHR on my list. Anyone got opinions on the 2 series?
Yes on Deadman Wonderland. Even if the latter parts are pointless, it's a short read. Outside of the shitty MC that has no balls and generic ability, the other characters and action scenes are good.
Don't give a shit about KHR but it's probably not worth the investment.
Avoid KHR at all costs. It's a particularly infuriating series to read, since it's always just a few small changes away from being good, yet it insists on constantly wallowing in mediocrity.

Deadman Wonderland is pretty good. Also seems to be ending soon.
KHR is a bit more inconsistent. When it's good, it's really good, but there's a ton of wasted potential and some pacing issues. Though the last few arcs have been good to great. It also starts out as a slice of life series and doesn't go full on battle series until the 80s.
No Hunter X Hunter? Shame on you. I actually like that better than One piece (when the artist doesnt decide to go on year long breaks and actually puts effort into the stuff he draws)
They are waiting for raws of the new chapter. They said if they can't find any then they will wait for the new volume to be out.

Well I was considering HxH since I'm following the 2011 anime. Its just that the art for it I found to be awful.... But then again I love Higurashi and the art/animation isn't the greatest there either. I think I'll give it a chance.

If you start KHR, enjoy the hilarious content for the first 60 chapters and then the awesome battle manga feel. The main character is my favorite of most manga. Pretty unique fun series.
