Does anyone know if Lockerz do ship internationally? Uncharted works out at around £24 after watching one video, that's of course minus whatever the delivery costs would be for shipping to the UK if they offer it.

Edit: Seems they do ship internationally.

You live in the UK like me dude?
I just registered with them after reading your post, im currently watching videos muted whilst surfing GAF, gonna see just how cheap I can make shinobido 2 hehe.
Does it always display as dollars though?
And where did you find shipping info?
Thanks man.
If this works, I can see myself using this A LOT.

The Vita is such a versatile piece of hardware that I seriously doubt support will significantly dry up.

Sony is even putting one of its biggest first party developers -- Media Molecule -- on it exclusively.

There's going to be a lot of content by virtue of support for other platforms. For instance, many PSN titles should be compatible on both Vita and PS3 going forward, so you will continue to have rich content at your disposal. Ditto for games published on Android as part of the Playstation Suite. Not to mention cross play between the two platforms (or transfarring, as Kojima would put it).

Wow if true, can i have the link to that announcement?

I wish there were an option to bypass that power saving crap all the big games are doing. I really believe that if I want to see Golden Abyss running at full processor speed and with full network capacity that we should get that. I don't care about battery use,I'd just plug it in when I'm using that mode ...

Agreed...it should be an option, not a mandate.

so i went to eatons and tried the vita with uncharted/wipeout

1. love the screen
2. the unit is light
3. Is it me or those units are the 3g models?
4. buttons are too small except the dpad
5. i dont like the feel of the joysticks
6. uncharted touch mechanics are forced. This might be the first uncharted that i will pass
7. wipeout takes forever to load
8. i still suck at playing wipeout

Please note that I didn't spent a lot of time with the vita so it might be me not getting used to it yet

I said the same thing a few weeks ago, so I finally sat down and played through Uncharted 3...To make a long story short, I have no desire to get Uncharted Golden Abyss anymore.

i recently finished uc3...but i thought it was ok not as good as uc2 though...

ordered uc:ga and wipout so ill probably save uncharted for a bit...

I remember wanting systems badly but this Vita launch day is killing me.

I hear ya. This is the first system I have actually pre-ordered and the last 9 days have gone incredibly slow. I have another 11 to go till it is released here. I've taken the two days off leading up to the weekend, another first for me on a system launch.

The only reason I MIGHT want Golden Abyss at full price is to blitz through it then return. Even then though I could just rent it or something, there's enough good games I don't quite want to buy to justify reactivating GameFly for a month or two, assuming I can reasonably get them anyway.

I just got into this funk where I didn't play games for a few months and I still haven't completely gotten out of it.

I was in that frame of mind in November and only just started playing games about 2 weeks ago. I try and give myself about 1/2hr to an hour each night before I start nightshift.

I do indeed :) It was in their FAQ, the UK was one of the places listed that they ship to, although they didn't mention if they charge shipping (they must do, surely) or how much it was.

Seems to always display the price in dollars, but I just use xe.com/ucc to convert them.

I think the only thing to watch may be import charges from customs, I don't know how likely those would be or how much they are though.

So... does anyone know anything about extended battery option for vita?

There are several extended USB cable charger in the market, but are they compatible with vita?

Folks with gamefly (and patience)

After you are a member (for 3 months, i think) you get an extra 10% off of used games.

So if you rent something at launch and hit keep it you will basically be getting the game new, but opened, for:

$40 msrp games look to be: $28.50

$30 msrp games look to be: $22.50

And if you are wondering, they send you everything that was in the box, including online passes. I've hit 'keep it' on several EA games and got the pass every time.

Did NOT know they send the online pass. I might have to do this for SSX

I posted a thought/idea I had on the PS Blog..I submitted 2 comments because of the size limit but the 2nd one didn't even show up so I want to paste in here what I tried to post so it's all together. I want to do this because I know a few Sony higher-ups DO visit Gaf regularly and should be in a position to actually do something. I want to post my thought/idea instead of simply whining and complaining. Much better to do that I think.

I’m hoping someone at Sony who is in a position to do something reads this. Looking forward to Vita! What I want to address here though involves the FEB, accessories/ some games already being available and street date breaks. I understand the point of the FEB I truly do and have no problem with that. Here’s the thing though..Vita accessories/games are available to buy now..all available Vitas have no doubt arrived at the majority of retailers and the whole Amazon.ca screw up that gave some people a Vita VERY early..With all that it seems to me Sony is ready to launch the Vita. I’d like to propose an idea for Sony US to consider that should make EVERYONE buying a Vita happy, regardless of the kind of Vita pre-ordered. I want to suggest this and actually try giving my input instead of whining and complaining. My idea that I want to get out there is..this Wednesday, the 15th, along with letting people who pre-ordered a FEB to pick up their pre-orders, let ALL other existing pre-orders pick up their Vitas that day as well. It would be great if Sony would please do everyone this one favor and authorize/ok ALL pre-orders to be picked up this week. If you can't authorize/ok it nationwide then an alternate suggestion would be to authorize/ok it on a district/store/region basis, giving each individual store final say based on available stock. Those who have enough to fulfill FEB plus regular orders could do so this week.

Wouldn't that make more sense for Sony, instead of having stock sit in back-rooms of stores for over a week? This way, there wouldn't be this week-long divide between FEB pre-orders and everyone else. Everyone would get to start experiencing Vita at the same time instead of some this week, others next week. Sony needs this thing to do well, or at least moderately well so I'd think getting it out there for everyone asap just makes more sense. With the street date breaks this week, along with some games as well as accessories purchaseable now, I just think this is the most sensible, fairest thing they can do. I'm not suggesting walk ins be allowed to purchase this week, walk ins without pre-orders would have to wait till the official launch anyway. This idea would be an excellent surprise for ALL who pre-ordered. I'm personally very satisfied with Sony as a company, however I know there are some who aren't. This would be an excellent, although small step towards gaining back some of that lost good will with those people.

Some of us will head out to pick up games like Twisted Metal and Tales Of The Abyss 3D this week anyway (I fall into the latter group), so it would definitely save us all a trip next week. People's patience waiting for Vita has been way better than usual in my opinion, reward that Sony by saying "Ok we'll authorize/ok all pre-orders to be sold". There has GOT to be a Monday morning meeting at Sony US and I think this needs to be on the agenda. It could be ok'd by Monday afternoon and sales could start on Wednesday. Never been a fan of street dates.

This was the best suggestion I feel I could come up with regarding this week's events, I truly respect those who've chosen to get a FEB 1 week early. It's just with everything this week, they're clearly ready to launch and should do so this week instead of waiting till the 22nd.

Hmm.. I've been thinking about gamefly. That's a pretty good deal - thanks for the info.

Some people really took the Amazon.ca mistake too personally.
It's not like it's widespread. You just see more of it here because... well... it's GAF.

All big releases, software or hardware, get sent out early and sit in the back room until street date. Don't know why people feel the Vita should be different. Just be patient like with every other release ever.

Of course I say this while holding my delicious early Vita.

I really hope everyone tweets Yoshida (@yosp) regarding this. I hope they get the message that we want to be connected to PSN or at least give us a choice.

Didn't expect that plot twist at the end there.

The FEB is designed to make people buy it by getting it a week early. They make more profits from that SKU.

I'm honestly shocked that more publishers have not started doing this with the super expensive collector's editions of games as well.

I loved that KH: BBS gave you the option for "high performance" versus "battery saver."

As for releasing all the Vita bundles at the same day as the FEB, it's probably against Sony's interests since they probably want to sell as many FEBs as possible.

There is so much wrong with this post. Is it even worth going into?

Uh not really? If you want it this week, Sony would prefer you to give them $50 extra. The FEB profit is probably pretty good. The more of those they sell the better they do off the system launch.

I work at a gamestop, and we don't even have the regular versions of the Vita sitting in back yet. Hell, we don't even have all of our FEB ready for preorder pick ups, hopefully we get em all by Tuesday night.

I think basically he just wants it now (which is understandable) so he wrote as much as could and didn't care much for facts, science, truths or logic. It was a valiant effort but really it just comes off as the ramblings of a crazy person.

I'm a bit of a beginner to the PSN but do those Mastercard gift cards work when buying things from the PSN store? The grocery store across the street stopped carrying PSN cards so I needed an alternative.

Why don't you try buying codes online? I remember someone posting that some place like Amazon does it and sends you the code via email.

You can purchase PSN cards on Best Buy's website and they'll sent you the code via e-mail. Just make sure you are buying the digital version of the card, not the physical one.

Do we have to play an import game while connected to a psn account from the respective region?

I want to import Gravity Rush ASAP.

It sounds like if you want to play any DLC for that game, you'll need to use an account from the respective region. However, just playing it without any online DLCs or multiplayer sounds like it doesn't need a specific region account. Could be wrong though.

I have called my local gamestop 3 times last week. Last time I called was earlier today. I called to ask about the 32GB cards that I guess I was unable to pre order. Im worried I get there on the 15th at night and they ethier be all gone or never come in. Can you tell me if your gamestop have any in or is getting a shipment with any in it?

Agreed, one of the best and personally this is also one of the best PS3 commercials (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6MjZaOQp0A&feature=related)

this is the commercial that made me say "this is next gen", but I guess not everyone has the same tastes.

Talking about my ears and eyes bleeding (the lyrics)...
That 240p...
And that music...

That aside, it looks like a nice way to show off what's available on your console.
Seems very... E3 montage-y though.

Hearing about how hard the 32GB card is to find in this thread is weird.
My EBGames only had 4GB and 32GB cards.

Got yoiu. Only hurdle will be language barrier i imagine? No English subs?

Pretty sure there aren't. I asked about GD in the PSV Japanese games thread and it seems like you can get through the game without knowing Japanese, but you'll miss the story.

I had an import copy on pre-order awhile ago that's arriving on the 16th so I'm looking forward to stumbling through the game.
