Since this has been suggested in the NYC GAF meetup thread - any NYC-area GAFfers who want to attend my and FoneBone's birthday at Phoenix (447 E 13th St, 9:30PM-3AM this Saturday) are welcome. Same night as the general NYC-GAF meetup, you say? No problem, you can make it to both.
 
Well, any self image issues I had went out the window this weekend. This big boy ended up parading around shirtless at the leather bar to great results. A couple numbers, a few dates, a LOT of gropes and compliments and went home with a hot bear as geeky as I am. Mostly slept. Mostly.

Wish I lived closer to town :(

Back from another Gay Geeks Trivia Contest.

I managed to meet a couple new people and surprisingly didn't clam up while talking to them. In fact I was like biographer with how many questions I asked.

All in all it was great. But I still left feeling a little disappointed.

I'm know I'm being impatient by expecting an instant connection whether friendship or otherwise, but I can't help it. I'm only an introvert because of circumstance. I want to get to know people. I want friends, allies, comrades, nakama, buddies, or whatever you want to call it. I want a boyfriend. I want more out of life than just living.

I see a person surrounded by a gaggle of people. And yes, I know that all of them aren't True Friends, but I still wonder how it feels. To never have boring day. To never be lonely.

I understand you. Some days I'm okay, even happy, with being alone. But others days, right now, I'm just sad. It's like what's wrong with me? Everyone else I see has a host of loved ones. Why don't I?

Also Dragon's Dogma looks like Demon's Souls done terrible to me. :/
 
Well, I find that romance options in games are generally terible whether its Mass Effect, Fable or Dragon Age. That being said, im curious to see how the influx of same sex options in games will be handled by a generally straight development team.

Really goddamn horribly, just look at Dragon Age or Fable 1/2/3. I'm not expecting Mass Effect 3 to be any different with it's hamfisted love dialog and awkward "oh, you're gay" moments. Hell, Fable 1 was basically "fart in front of another dude and then marry him, buy a house, and have a blacked out awkward sex scene with the other dude protesting/making comments about it."

TBH I shyed away from Realpic and now they are kinda thier own small group and it doesnt feel like a big gaf event anymore.

I never joined that bandwagon and never will. Myself shall stay hidden for as long as I can keep it hidden.
