According to Eurogamer's Johnny Minkley, these are the prices for some download games in the UK;

Confirmed prices for Sony's download-only Vita games: MotorStorm RC: £4.79, Escape Plan £9.99, Super Stardust/Top Darts/Hustle Kings £6.49.

those are... bloody good. Motorstorm especially.

Haha :)

FIFA will get 8-9 I reckon, had a go on the demo in Gamestation and it's basically FIFA 11 on 360, but on a handheld. Really, really good. Only problem I had was the camera is too zoomed out so the players all look really small, but I'm sure that can be changed in the options somewhere.

There are all the camera views of the original version.
Here you should find a moment in which the player change the camera to a close one (after the second half of the video)

For those in the UK. Play.com are now doing the WiFi + 8GB for £213 and the 3G + 8GB for £263. Hopefully Amazon match them again :D

That means ignoring the free memory card, the Vitas are being sold at 7.4% and 6.08% off the RRP respectively. Including the 8GB card with it's £32 RRP means the bundles are 18.71% and 15.7% off RRP.

I <3 UK retail.
If you're buying the bundle (Vita + 8GB + £15 game) on Amazon you're already getting the memory card for free, so in this case I suspect it's actually Play price matching Amazon.

Holy shit. Nice. :)

Play have some really good Vita offers. I ended up preordering from them - WiFi Vita, 8GB memory card, Virtua Tennis 4 and the preorder pack for £231.99. Just hope they dispatch in time for release as there's no option to select anything other than Free delivery.

The delivery was the main reason I've stuck with my Amazon order. Just felt like a safer option. Knowing my luck my Vita will be the last to be delivered on launch day in the whole bloody country!

Just noticed that Amazon.co.uk have the WiFi for £210 now. Expect them to match or beat the 3G too :).

If those are accurate then it things are looking up!

The minute you guys start predicting reviews is when you need to turn right around and just stop playing. Don't create pre conceived expectations. No one ever learns on how much reviews really don't mean these days like they used to. You can practically generate your own mental notes and make your own mind up with previews and video these days. Some guy in Europe has to say it's only a 2 for you not to buy it though /rolleyes gif. I do understand if there's some game breaking bugs but if the game is your cup of tea then there's your subjective reason to want it. Not someone else saying that it's not their cup.

Looking forward to Amazon matching this. The more they fight the more games I can get!

Edit: Just noticed the post that they've matched it. Is it too much to hope that they will force each other down to £200 for the Vita and memory stick?

I'm waiting for them to beat the 3G too. It possible that they'll keep going. It depends I suppose on how much they are costing them in the first place. Both are big enough to soak up the loss on accessories which I imagine are huge profit makers.

They were already matching. This is just them stepping up even more. And Amazon fighting back. :D

Tommorow the US store will update and I'm curious whether 3rd party publishers will follow Sony and also discount digital by 10%.

I'm hoping they're not that dumb but it's not up to Sony it seems. I'm only curious to see if Blob and Escape Plan will be up. I'm trying hard not to buy more PSN only Vita games as I've already bought Stardust Delta. I knew I wanted that 100% though so I pulled the trigger.

Gotta hold back as I have to redeem data plan yet for my FEB.

Wow. I don't usually comment on price. If I think something is too expensive I won't buy it. But I know at those prices, if they're correct, I'll be buying a load more games.

I played on the Vita again today. I played Everybody's Golf, Wipeout and Unit 13 this time.

Everybody's Golf - It's everything I hoped it would be and playing it just reaffirmed my decision to get it.

Wipeout - I can't believe how good it is! I am seriously considering getting it now. It controls much better than I thought and looks amazing.

Unit 13 - Eh, it'll flop.

These prices announced are great:

MotorStorm RC will cost £4.79; Escape Plan will cost £9.99;
Super Stardust, Top Darts and Hustle Kings will all cost £6.49.

Unit 13 could scratch the shooter itch though. It looks competent enough and has co op.

Where did you read that? Motorstorm RC is a no brainer buy after watching video. I can't believe some threw a fit when it was first announced. Damn, now that you mentioned HK, I want it. Especially if it has online.

Oh, I know. These review scores won't change my perception unless all of them are negative about a certain game. We're just having fun.

Game Informer's Army Corps of Hell review was already pretty low (4.5/10 I think) but after reading the review I still want it. Their knock against it was basically that they game doesn't have much depth and that you'd be doing the same thing for pretty much the entire length of the game without much variation. They also said the game was fun but that the premise wore thin by the time they reached the end.

Very nice. I remember seeing somewhere that Motorstorm RC is "buy once, get both PS3 and Vita versions", so for £4.79 or £2.40 each that's a steal.

Escape Plan is a definite purchase for me, loved the demo and the £5 voucher in the preorder pack would make it half price. Excellent.

I think Unit 13 will do fine but it will be forgotten in a few months. It looks like one of those console launch titles that everyone is thinking they want because they really want that type of game on the device but as soon as a big franchise title is announced in the same genre everyone will forget that it existed.

I sort of remember that first shooter that came out for the PSP. I think it might have gotten a sequel.

Embargo times according to IGN:

Monday, February 13th @ 6 a.m. PST

Army Corps of Hell 6.5
FIFA Soccer 8.5
Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational8.0
Little Deviants 6.5
ModNation Racers: Road Trip 7.0
Reality Fighters 6.0
Super Stardust Delta 9.0
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 8.5
Uncharted: Golden Abyss 9.0
WipeOut 2048
8.0

So three hours to go?

So, 30 min or so. I'll throw some IGN predictions up.

Nice if true!
And we'll even get 2 Versions from Motorstorm for this price. Even if i would prefer a "real" MS, i'll support that of course.

Really good price + Buy1Get2 has to be supported.

Will get SSD and EP too. :)

I really enjoyed the game, but it definitely is repetitive. I think it suits the format especially if like me you are playing in short bursts .

So Hot Shots should arrive today, which is awesome. The sad part? My Amazon FEB hasn't changed to "Shipping Soon" yet. :(

I wouldn't let that kind of thing bug you. For release date delivery, Amazon ships out on next-day air at any point prior to the release date; some people could see it change to "shipping soon" a day or two early, and some people may not see their shipment status update to shipped until late at night prior to delivery. It varies from shipment to shipment and doesn't really mean anything about when you'll receive it.

Planning to get Motorstorm RC now, awesome prices

Together with Stardust obviusly

I'm not entirely sure the launch audience is the same as the Call of Duty/Unit 13/Insert FPS audience though. Either way it's a very B level shooter that's a long way away from being the kind of shooter that I'd want when I think dual analog sticks.

Since we're going with predictions now here are mine.

Army Corps of Hell: 4/10
FIFA Soccer: 9/10
Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational: 8/10
Little Deviants: 7/10
ModNation Racers: Road Trip: 7/10
Reality Fighters: 4/10
Super Stardust Delta: 8/10
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3: 8/10
Uncharted: Golden Abyss: 9/10
WipeOut 2048: 8/10

Little Deviants: 6/10

Reality Fighters: 6/10
Super Stardust Delta: 9/10
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3: 8/10
Uncharted: Golden Abyss: 9/10
WipeOut 2048: 9/10

My prediction:
- We will hear that game X is not good because it doesn't have the same features as the home console version.
- We will hear that game X is not good because it's too similar to the home console version.

Army Corps of Hell: 4/10
FIFA Soccer: 8.5/10
Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational: 8.5/10
Little Deviants: 6.5/10
ModNation Racers: Road Trip: 6.5/10

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3: 7.5/10
Uncharted: Golden Abyss: 8.5/10
WipeOut 2048: 8.5/10

You guys aren't predicting low enough. There is now a chance that the scores will not reach your predictions, which in turn means utter disappointment.

Wut? Isn't the US Store updated every wednesday?

Nope. Tuesday evenings.

I wonder if they will port over the Jak and Dexter HD collection to the Vita.

I mean come on we are getting MGS HD and FF10 HD soo why not Jak and Dexter....

While you're at it bring Ratchet and Clack HD..... : D
Honestly? I don't think the developer that handled the HD collection for J&D are capable of it. The PS3 version is already missing some effects and runs at a sub-HD resolution. I have little faith that they could handle a port to brand new hardware like the Vita. If Bluepoint were in charge, perhaps, but as it stands I wouldn't expect it.
