If the Vita came with only one Analog Stick, how many of you would still be buying?
I know I wouldn't.
So all PSP games work...provided to d/l to your PS3 first?
Nope.
Most of them in the end it seems. Maybe SCEA and some publisher sit on their asses and allow holes to develop, but I'm hoping that if there's oversights it's mainly limited to games that WILL NOT work for some reason in the PSP emulator, or are delisted and thus in an awkward position like Brave Story. So all PSP games work...provided to d/l to your PS3 first?

This is really irrelevant at this point isn't it?

Just saw some Burning Skies footage from the blog video and, man, that really looks AWFUL.
A snippet of gameplay in a simplistic hallway fighting annoying "bug" enemies with a framerate that is always below 30 fps. How is that acceptable?

I've been trying to be responsible and NOT pick one up, but the promise of PSP game compatibility... well.
One more day...
I would never buy it, even at $150.

Yeah, I've noticed that the chimera burst into 15 fps lumps upon death. They have to get it running smoother before launchJust saw some Burning Skies footage from the blog video and, man, that really looks AWFUL.

Can someone tell them that on the bottom of the handheld is a door that holds a memory card. Open it and push and a card I guarantee you will come out. This is included in FEB and Demo units and probably even press kits.

That sucks... I wonder when the first good FPS will come to Vita? I really enjoyed Resistance: Retribution and Resistance 3 so I was hoping the next entry in the series would keep up in terms of quality. I can't say I'm surprised that it doesn't look like it will though.Just saw some Burning Skies footage from the blog video and, man, that really looks AWFUL.

What games does this fictional one stick Vita have? If it has Mario Kart and Super Mario 3D Land, I'm in.

Isn't optimization like one of the last things that happens in development? Burning Skies is still some months off. Performance can still be improved for release. I don't know why people are already writing it off.
Although I guess the developer doesn't have a very good history.

I'm not confident in that game getting cleaned up in the next couple of months.
On your friends list can you see when your friends last sign in was like the PS3?
That seems really stupid. Not that I can see. And the list seems to just be sorted alphabetically. On the PS3, it's like, the last person to sign off is at the top of the offline portion of the list.
Yeah, but then in the review you get stuff like this:
As promising as the concept is, Army Corps of Hell falls woefully short in the gameplay department. Too often will you find yourself taking on the same groups of enemies and progressing through levels lacking in any real sense of variety. Army Corps of Hell is an infuriatingly missed opportunity, a great theme that is undercut by average gameplay.
This is, so far, one of THE big exceptions. Just about anything else I could want to play that's on PSN is on the list of Japanese Vita-supported games BUT the PSP ones, there really may be emulator issues with them.If I have Phantasy Star Portable 2 in my download list, can I download it on my PS3 and transfer it to the Vita?
One more sleep for me. Some will have it at the midnight launch in the states.
That seems really stupid.
If it still had exclusives likes Ys IV, I would probably still buy it. I would buy less games for it though. If the Vita came with only one Analog Stick, how many of you would still be buying?

There is a list of exceptions in the OP.So all PSP games work...provided to d/l to your PS3 first?
This is one of the exceptions. It didn't work a few days ago. If you get it to run, please inform me so I can update the list.If I have Phantasy Star Portable 2 in my download list, can I download it on my PS3 and transfer it to the Vita?
I just don't understand why they need to relearn lessons that they've already learned with the PS3.It's early days. PS3 had a dog shit OS to begin with too. With enough feedback and time I'm expecting to see nice firmware updates.
Anything that falls "woefully short" in gameplay is not "good" in my book.
does the US vita have cool PS Network profile panels like the Japan vita?
the available panels on the Japan Vita are really cool, consists of all first party Japanese titles.
I find golf boring
I find tennis boring
I dislike golf games a la Tiger Woods
I like tennis games a la Virtua Tennis or Top Spin
I LOVE Hot Shot Golf series, and spent 40+ hours on the psp iteration (skipped ps3 one)
The same happened with Hot Shot Tennis
It's like arcade but deep, it's like goofy but adorable, they fit perfectly the handheld/mobile paradigms.
Those are very good GAMES.
I'm not interested in Uncharted with two sticks, let alone one and touch control.Let's say Uncharted, with one left stick and touch screen controls in the place of the right stick. Same graphical fidelity and 5" OLED.

Blue is Sony's gaming colour now apparently - the PS blog (at least the EU one, not sure on US) has a blue theme, the PS store is blue, the "PS" logo on their adverts is on a blue background, the Vita box is blue, the "PS" button on the Vita is blue...The cover of Resistance: Burning Skies is pretty nice looking, though. Too bad the blue box detracts from it (not a fan of boxes colored anything non-neutral).
Probably been posted already, but here's the ad that's suppose to air in the US

Yes.
There's some basic art and animal ones.
There's also some Sony first party ones.
And then there's some weirder ones like Wild Arms and Rogue Galaxy.
I'm currently using a Gravity Daze panel.
