22 minutes left to the podcast and no B&B convo....

Yeah, not much B&B talk in this episode outside of callbacks to Le Fou. We'll get back to it eventually (or maybe we've exhausted that convo).

There is literally nothing funnier in the world than super nerds pretending to mix up sports teams and terms. Not one thing on the planet is funnier than that. Pure comic gold. So good. Wow, I am dying of laughter. It doesn't happen enough, honestly. Especially the week of a big event. I'm so glad there is still a group of pseudo-adults willing to bust out that kind of comedic genius.
I aims to please!I'm pretty sure he's talking to you, Phil.
Although I did honestly mix up a Safety and a Touchback this week. Hilarity ensued.
I miss Greg Ford
I aims to please!
True story: CJ sent me a text later that day informing me that he had just realized that it wasn't the SF Giants playing in the Superb Bowl.
Oh, wait...Super Bowl? What did I say?
Looks like I deserve some time in the penalty box!
Wait. I'm a bit late here I guess--but, the last episode I listened to was when I moved to Berkeley, and that was back in August; I thought it was your "last episode." I remember this specifically because I was listening to it on a drive up, and it was strange hearing all the talk of the show ending, literally as I was moving out of the town where I spent my 20s.
So I unsubscribed. Is the show back? What in the world...? I'm not moving out of Berkeley just because of you guys! But I guess I could listen again anyway.
I really enjoy this post.

amazing
You have 26 episodes to listen to.At this point, I could just look this up, but now I want to know in the thread.
Remember, SnakeswithLasers, when we promised that show would be our last?At this point, I could just look this up, but now I want to know in the thread.
I understood what CJ was saying about background downloads. I think it would be cool if you saw a game on PSN and started downloading but it was taking awhile so you load up another game and play while you wait for it to finish.
Agree completely. It's very annoying that once you start a game on xbox, downloads stop.
You have 26 episodes to listen to.
Wow, I can't believe it's been that long since we did that stupid joke.
This week! Double Fine’s Adventure Kickstarter project, more Vita, Skylander collecting, SSX, Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword, Mutant Mudds, House of the Dead III (demo), Shank 2, Cards Against Humanity, Uncharted 3 DLC, Metro 2033 and more!
There's no way in hell I'm buying that janky-looking, IAP-laden mess. OK, maybe when it goes on sale for a buck, but for five dollars? No-ho-hooooooooo.....
I wasn't moved by it. The main character sprite is pretty awful, and the control is horrible. The music's pretty OK, though, and the intro is tops.and gender-swapped Mega Man on the show![]()
I could not for the life of me understand Mike's handwringing over kickstarter. He seemed ot be worried that this might hurt the publisher/middle man? Who seriously gives a shit? I'm giving my money directly to Double Fine who is in turn giving me a game that I want. I have no idea how this is even remotely close to either panhandling (as Mike called it) or charity (as Phil alluded to).
I also don't get the "well I don't want to pay their salaries" gripe. What exactly are you doing when you buy any game but funding the production of the next game, i.e. paying the salaries of the people working on The Show or Gran Turismo or whatever anime witch touching game Phil is importing this week.

Yeah, his point was largely moot because by paying any amount $15 or higher, you get the game at a minimum.
The only people who are chumps are those who donated less than $15, because they get no consideration (value) in return.
I didn't even know you could pledge less than $15. I bought Ceville for $30 when it came out. That's a game from a publisher I generally hate and a developer I had never heard of. This was a no brainer bargain for me.
It's also goofy for Mike to assume that the only money this game will generate is from the Kickstarter campaign. It will also be released for sale. Saying that "well the average person is paying $300+ for this game" assumes that no one will ever buy the game once it is released.
I don't know, maybe he was trying to be devil's advocate or something.
Plenty of easy peasy lemon squeazy shooters out there for you to play.
I'm going to wait for a price drop on the Vita so don't talk too glowingly about MLB transfarring or you might break my will
most likely Giant Bomb. What podcast was Phil joking about regarding a $50k kickstarter program?
I don't think either of us were saying that the Metro sequel needs to appeal to the lowest common denominator. I'm sure there's a middle ground somewhere. And even then, I said Metro is an excellent game.
What podcast was Phil joking about regarding a $50k kickstarter program?
most likely Giant Bomb.
Is that a real thing?Comedy Button.
Comedy Button.
(well, at least that's the one I was thinking of--and thought he was referring to)
