Nope. Only 1 AC adaptor will do. The cradle has a built-in proprietary USB connector.

I have one sitting on my desk staring at me now.

I want to try setting it up in my car. So I don't need the AC adaptor. I need the car kit adapter instead.

Alright, good to know lol

Hopefully you meant to write 'or' instead of 'and', I can't see why you'd need both, just one input.

I'll check tomorrow, but I'm under the impression that the AC adapter uses the USB cable. The AC adapter plugs into the wall, but you need the USB cable to plug the Vita to the AC adapter.

The Vita itself doesn't have an A/C in, if that's what you're thinking.

EDIT: The cradle also has a line out for speakers.

So the AC Adapter came with USB cables?

Just found out that the FEB has an AC adapter and USB cable inside. I was afraid I'd have to buy more stuff to use the cradle.

Picked up my copy of Rayman Origins tonight. Now I have all the games I intend to buy, a memory card...I just need the system! Almost got impatient and switched to FEB, but I know I'll never use the 3G (or support AT&T) and common sense prevailed.

According to the picture in the cradle manual I threw away (lol)...

The AC Adaptor connects to the multi-use USB cable at the receiving end, which connects to the cradle. Then your Vita sits on the cradle, with its ass plugged into the built-in multi-use USB connector.

So yes, if you want to connect your Vita to another power source elsewhere, you'll need the AC Adapter and the multi-use USB cable.

Vita shipping notice confirmed. I can't wait to get my hands on this thing. I'm sure I'll be buying games on the playstation store within an hour of getting it even though I'll have WipEout.

Ah, thanks. What time does that usually happen?

Grace Chen Time (aka could be any time between 12am midnight to 11:59pm). It's different every week, sometimes dramatically so.

Is anybody getting it at midnight tonight? I am, if my Walmart got any in stock. I'm praying they did, but you never know with Walmart.

Sony could be selling a lot more 3G units if they weren't locked to AT&T. I wonder how much they're making on that stupid deal.

Are you ordering from Amazon? From my experience there is a good chance it will arrive on the 21st ;)

I am indeed, Amazon UK.

I'm in on the 21st too ;)

I'll know if it's coming as it'll get posted out on the 20th if that is the case. Plus the tracking will tell me if it it's out for delivery or not.

21st would be great, as I'm not at work again until the 24th so get some time to enjoy it in larger bursts.

Received Rayman and my 8gb memory card from Amazon, and I just wanted to say two things;

Holy fuck are the game cases small
Holy fuck the memory cards are small.

I think I need a game case just because I don't want to carry around the little fuckers.

That's what I thought... so you bought another USB cable then?

Aww =(

Pretty sure the AC adapter does NOT come with a USB cable. The box said as much so I returned the AC adapter without opening it, as what I really wanted was another cable.

Is BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND shipping? Was supposed to get to me today, but now Amazon says that they are sold out. Did it even come out? Is it going to be the one impossible to find launch game?

Yeh it was there for a second (amazon). Cool thing though is that it's on PSN from today for $35 so it shouldn't be hard to find!

All Vitas come with an AC Adaptor and an AC power cord:

Eh... you should have that multi-use USB<->AC Adaptor cable in the basic Vita package.

Bah ! I wish I haven't thrown that piece of paper away. -_-

I'll know tomorrow.

I forgot about tracking that's a good point. I imagine I will be glued to that.

Reviews claim that little deviants is a very mediocre game. It has scored very, very average across the board. But, with that said, nobody seems to be saying it's actually terrible, but rather more of a tech demo or PSN style game. I probably won't sell it when I get it with the FEB, but I'm not really excited for it by any means. I've seen a couple people that have played the full game that actually really like it.

I think reviewers would have been kinder to the game if it was a $10-$15 downloadable game.

Sony could be selling a lot more 3G units if they weren't locked to AT&T. I wonder how much they're making on that stupid deal.

I'd love to see the first 30 days sell ratio across regions. With SCEE regions getting Wipeout as the "free" 3G game and it only costing £5 for a months 3G and being unlocked, I can't help feeling we got the best 3G deal of the lot. Especially considering that the major retailers are fighting like mad for business too.

The 3G is supposed to be £280 here. But from Amazon for £260 I'm getting the 3G and an 8GB card.

Has Sony ever released a system without a AC charging adapter? It is an essential part, since they cant rely on that everyone have a USB power source, so it would be really surprising if they didnt include this. It doesnt hurt to ask to be 100% sure though :)

Yeah, we're just talking about the cradle or extra chargers.

If using a cradle as an extra charger, it'll cost $50.

Cradle is $20
AC Adapter is $15
USB Cable is $15

It's quite expensive.

Yes, I think this is the case if you want to set up a completely separate (i.e., second) charging point.

The standard Vita package includes an AC Adapter and USB cable by default. You don't have to buy another cable if you just want to charge your Vita via the cradle and hook it up to speakers.

Looks quite barren but I think it has potential for lots of fun, given I loved RC Pro AM. Bit concerned about the nearly complete lack of wider media coverage - even these guys had just one track, and we are week from launch.

The video was only a demo, I'm sure the full PSN version will be much better. Also, do they really do media coverage on PSN games?

No idea, but i'm sure that there will be more demos. There excist a Wipeout demo in Japan for example.
Japan had a ton of demos upon the Vita's initial release. For a significant number of retail titles.
North America doesn't need demos because we'll buy stuff sight unseen based on Metacritic scores and that awesome marketing campaign.
