Those people wont stay. NBA has been on an uptick since last season. Great ratings for finals last year. Great ratings and records for playoffs last year. And after lockout

Sure he is helping the swing but NBA was moving up in ratings and attendance since Lebron came to the heat. It's good for the game but when lin comes back to earth most of the casuals will leave.
Troll successful

I am pretty apathetic about Lin, but my interest in basketball has picked up pretty much solely because the tickets are so damn cheap. You can get six tickets to sixers games for $60. Or 2 tickets, free parking, and $20 vendor credit for $60. It's like the cheapest I have ever seen any sports tickets in this town.

Wolves games are $5 monday through wednesday, of course you have to sit in the nosebleeds but still

When I was still living in San Antonio getting nosebleed tickets to the Spurs was one of my favorite things to do. Tickets were maybe $15 a pop, it was great.

Olympic is a fucking game. Treason is something you do to bring down your country, not a game you participate in to help line the pockets of sponsors and TV station executives.

And that self-proclaimed King from the Houston Chron is a retard. He's been like that since the beginning of time.

yeah, I only posted that because it referenced multiple examples of US citizens getting to play for foreign teams, not the question the column was asking.

On a related note, as a Knicks season ticket holder, I'm loving what Lin is doing to the price of Knicks games.

Ticket prices at MSG are absolutely ridiculous for Knicks games (and Rangers games too, for that matter). Add to the fact that Time Warner is still blacking out MSG Network. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU...

I also have Rangers tickets and it drives me crazy how cheap Rangers fans are, no one wants to buy my tickets for face value. Oh and I fucking hate Time Warner and MSG for still not working things out.

Lin's success validates the lockout. Without the lockout, he would not have had gotten the extra time to build muscle and work on his game. He'd be scrawnier and hitting his sophomore wall rather than cut and fresh. The lockout will increase ratings.

When Melo comes back it will come crashing down.

I'm looking at tickets just to see Lin play @ Atlanta April 22th.

First time I have ever even thought about going to an NBA game.

Edit: Cheapest I can find are $23.

D Rose
KD
Harden
Blake Griffin

Most of the young(rookies to 4th years) generation aren't that arrogant at all really. I don't know where you go t this mentality that everyone in the NBA except Lin is humble. Get that outta here.

Blake Griffin is incredibly arrogant

And LeBaron was homble as shit as a rookie too;

There are rumors that he might get traded for a package including Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov.

Not sure if serious....

I don't really follow the 2K series. Have they been known to upgrade player ratings when things like this happen?

This was posted yesterday on Twitter:

There will be a #NBA2K12 roster update in the next 48 hours per @NBA2KInsider including a bump to JLin among other things
https://twitter.com/#!/Ronnie2K/status/169510897583276035

He is now rated at 69 and will probably get another boost soon

Mind you, I think Linsanity is legit and will make it to the 80s before the end of the year. After last night, he's up for another bump

what is interesting to me is I searched the internet and even in Summer 2010 people were asking whether or not Jeremy Lin would be in NBA2K11 lol.

I think the Nuggets also want an expiring PG. Maybe they can do a 3-team deal with the Clippers and their injured PG.

Well, Clips might sign our Shanghaied players.

Was it really that clutch when it was a tied game? Would be immensely more "clutch" if they were down even a point imo. Still a great shot.

Oh wow. Nash-esque. Oh fucking wow. lmao

Awesome. This makes me want to go back and revisit NBA 2k12 again :)

Edit:

Even better news :)
