I'm 26 (gah) in the Air Force and I've been in Japan for FOUR years now, I'm making the big move to Korea for a year and then it's Europe for probably four years after that!! Hopefully I'll have better luck there guy-wise. Japan hasn't been great in that regard. Any other Millitary GayGAF folk out there? I swear I'm the only one in the AF sometimes. :lol

Welcome, welcome! The thing I envy about being in the armed forces is the opportunity to spend time in foreign countries. That's certainly appealing.

Am I the only one who doesn't get hard for Ryan Gosling? Even the ladies at work swoon over him, but he does absolutely nothing for me.

Same here. I work in a lab/office with 8 women and every single one of them loves Ryan Gosling. Is it a 'The Notebook' thing? Because I haven't watched that movie and they all loved him in it. He's a good actor but I don't see why they all swoon for him.

Then again, some of these ladies go weak over Colin Firth...

Ryan Reynolds, now there's a Ryan I can appreciate.

I agree, he's too bland for my taste. Too "pretty", but I don't consider him handsome. He's still nice to look at, but he wouldn't get my attention.

I would like to know the answer to that question as well. The circle of people I talk to is dropping more and more down to just the people that I work with.

So a dude came up to me at work asking me where I cut my hair, and how long it took to grow out. It was a tad awkward cuz really, it was at work and in public. I said thanks, and he said that he really loved myhair cut (really?), then he smiled and walked away. I probably would have probed myself, but he wasn't my type. But it was a nice ego boost monetheless.
 
*Snatches gay cards* How can you guys watch Crazy, Stupid, Love (AND Drive!) and NOT think nasty thoughts about Ryan Gosling? I honestly don't even remember the plot of the movie because I kept falling in and out of consciousness. For shame.

Thanks! I guess Japan isn't really the problem, it's the fact that I'm in the military and pretty much have ALL straight friends (who know about me being gay of course). I've hooked up with guys who *claim* they're 100% straight (lulz) and the occasional girl, but absolutely nothing relationship wise. :-/ I guess I should point out that I'm way more attracted to guys and can't see myself in a relationship with a girl at all. In fact, I've been drunk during 95% of my encounters with chicks. XD

There's also waaaaay too many closet cases in the military. Can't say I blame them, but once I started telling people it became much better for me. I've only had one incident where someone tried to kill me but we're actually pretty cool now.

Something along those lines happened to me at work today, except it wasn't about my hair :P

It was about my handwriting. I got complimented about it by a handsome lawyer [we exchanged glances/looks a couple of times]. Apparently, my handwriting is (quoting him): "beautiful"... he seemed surprised.

Mine was like that back in school (until high school); with time I just got lazy.
Now, many refer to my hand writing as "girl handwriting" which according to people is still "better than most guys"; though the letters are all fat and sometime with smiley faces and hearts and drawings.. :p
