The big game today is the early kick-off; clash of the blues - and I'm apprehensive.

Non Chelsea fans (because I think my fellows are asleep) - what would you do to turn the season around? Me and Fady have waxed lyrical on these boards about who we'd get rid of, who we'd keep and who we want - but I'd be interested to see what you guys think - the Telegraph thinks Lampard, Malouda and Drogba are in line to go at the end of the season - I wouldn't miss them.

Cech

Bosingwa - Luiz - Cahill - Bertrand

Essien - Romeu

Kalou Sturridge Mata

Torres

I live in hope...

AVBs problem was that he didn't stamp his authority on the team. Whether it be the summer or the January windows, he took over a seemingly close knit group and he can't control them. He should have rolled in, shipped out Malouda, Alex, Anelka, Bosingwa, Mikel, perhaps Kalou and brought in younger players.

He keeps talking about his age, but he's got a team of players were half of them aren't that much younger than him, if he got younger players in (Why we bought De Bruyne and then loaned him out I have no idea, we should be using him) they would respect more, put a stake in the clique's heart and get everyone playing.

Perhaps Drogba should go, Meireles was surely only a stop gap signing? Is Ashley Cole past it? He doesn't seem to be playing that well atm... If Terry is found guilty of racism perhaps its time for him to move on, I don't want the club to defend it.

Having a young manager is fine but you can't have an old squad. We have players who know they're untouchable and its not good enough. The likes of Lukaku, McEachran, Bertrand not getting any games (or many) for the old guard most of whom are shit.

Ramires is the future of our midfield no doubt, Luiz the future of our defence, we need better back up goalkeepers as well.

Oh and stop fucking playing Ivanovic at CB. He can't do it. He's a great right back, but he's shit at CB. We bought Cahill for a reason, and he should fucking play him.

It is funny, when Luiz first came, I thought he might be a good signing but this season he has been dreadful. I wonder if he would benefit from going to a lower team in the league? Much like Kaboul went to Portsmouth then came back to us and is now a first choice CB, before he went he was good but did make several mistakes and we couldn't afford them at that time.

Same with Lukaku, I really don't get why Chelsea didn't send him out on loan to a Premier League team straight away so he had a full season under his belt ready for next season. I guess they just think if you spend money, these players become good straight away.

Hoping Birmingham give them a good game today, would be great for them to get something. Hopefully Sunderland win later too.

Class act from the Chelsea site...

Ramires and John Mikel Obi return to the midfield with Michael Essien and Frank Lampard making way.
Gary Caldwell will play his second game with Branislav Ivanovic back at right-back.
The front three are unchanged for a sixth game running while back from Africa, Salomon Kalou and Didier Drogba are back on the bench.
Chelsea will line-up in the following 4-3-3 formation:
1 Petr Cech (c)
2 Branislav Ivanovic
24 Gary Cahill
4 David Luiz
34 Ryan Bertrand
7 Ramires
12 John Mikel Obi
16 Raul Meireles
23 Daniel Sturridge
9 Fernando Torres
10 Juan Mata
Subs: 40 Hilario, 17 Jose Bosingwa, 5 Michael Essien, 8 Frank Lampard, 15 Florent Malouda, 21 Salomon Kalou, 11 Didier Drogba.

Cech,
Ivan, Cahill, Luiz, Bertrand,
Rambo, Mikel, Meireles,
Sturridge, Torres, Mata

I quite like that line up.

I like it!! No Bosingwa, No Malouda, not bad. Why not Mikel on the bench instead of Essien though? Betrand + Cahill. Good.

Edit - I agree with Pappe though, Mata - Center. MATA CENTER. Grrrrrr!!!!

I think Playing in the center will bring make Mata most effective.
Yeah, I can't remember what game it was, it was a few games ago anyway. AVB changed the formation and Mata played behind Torres and we looked much better. Needles to say, next game he was back to the wing.

I'm pretty sure Sturridge has said more than once that he doesn't like playing on the wings.
He has, but he can shut up. He's a greedy wee cunt. Don't get me wrong, he has so much potential, but I get fed up with him trying to go on his own when there are better options at hand.

Edit: So Chelsea fans, who's ready for what has the potential to be a diabolical 90 mins of football?

Also, ESPNs sideline coverage is guff. Get in a studio you mugs.

Not watching it on 6'eren? They're ripping Chelsea apart. Their betting expert even said that he was tempted to go for a Birmingham win at odds 9.0.

Skysport. Don't want to listen to Mikkel Bischoff.

so today is a big day for hamburg.... hope we shoot the stinky fishheads out of our stadium and come closer to the europa league places...
I am with you regarding Hamburgo's recovery but who do you call "stinky fishheads" ? Only Hansa Rostock deserve that nickname :-)

Hmm. Well let me try and find this Podolski lookalike.

I've got about 8 blurred pictures of him on my phone and a picture of a turd.

I honestly don't care if we win or lose at this point. Just don't go out and fucking embarrass us. This season has been rough enough already, so just put out a strong performance and play hard is all I can ask.

Lukaku cannot be registered to play for another team this season as he already played for Anderlecht and Chelsea which is why we haven't loaned him out.

Luiz has improved a lot recently, he was shocking for a long time this season, but bar one or two tackles a game that get him booked he has tightened up. He's not perfect and still needs to improve but he's not as bad as he was.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

oh my god LOOOOOL

holy shit

Holy. Shit.

Chelsea are the worst team. THE WORST!
