Most of the players didn't bother to show up. Arguably the worst game all season.

Why were the Chelsea players standing around with a bemused look on their faces? Doesn't exactly take a genius to work out that a pedestrian like performance against a Championship side wont get you a result. Don't think AVB is to blame for the most part either. Far too much shite goes on at that club behind the scenes.

They should have won the Champions League in those season's, they were the best team in Europe, freak knock out against the Scousers and they should have again won the Champions League in 2009 but that was a disgrace as we all well know.

it is disappointing to limp into Napoli like this. there are things about today's game that need changing.
I know the other Chelsea fans here will disagree, but Lampard has to be above Meireles in terms of who is starting. Meireles wastes a handful of opportunities a game with his potshots at goal. Lamps has lost a step sure, but he still has that knack for finding goals, which to me is crucial considering how poor the offense has been.
Romeu should also be given the nod before Mikel, he has a better sense of the game despite being so much younger.
If anything, reverting to the diamond, at least until AVB can get players that work in his formation, could be decent stop gap. Romeu in front of the back four, Ramires and Lampard flanking and Mata leading the midfield. Sturridge and one of Drogba/Torres in front of goal.
