Djourou - You will see the best of me now

Johan Djourou believes Arsenal fans will see the best of him now he is back in the centre of defence.

The Swiss international was one of a number of auxiliary right backs deployed in the absence of Bacary Sagna and Carl Jenkinson over the winter months and Djourou admits that he struggled at times in that unfamiliar role.

Injuries to Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny saw Djourou return to his preferred role at AC Milan and he could keep his place for the FA Cup trip to Sunderland. The 25-year-old is relishing the opportunity.

"I am happy to be back in my position and to show what I am worth," Djourou told Arsenal Player.

"This season has been a bit harder for me. I have had to play out of position where I am not used to but I have tried to do my job, but I am not a [natural] right back.

"People forget and think that if you play in a position, 'Johan Djourou is a right back', but I am not, I was there to help the team. Now I am back in my position and I will show everyone my qualities."

We didn't have any problems with that in the first half of the season or last year either, I don't believe that. We played Bayern, Arsenal and Schlacke in one week and won both Bundesliga matches. Klopp is fantastic at getting the team focused on the next match. Heynckes (or the team) is not as it seems. Actually, Bayern can be happy we struggled so much at the beginning of the season. Add some points from the piss-poor Hoffenheim or Berlin match and we could be gone already.

And definitely Marchisio has been off for one reason or another. But Padoin plays anywhere in the middle, really, so it's just that he's done a mediocre job today. I'd be happy for Milos to come on today but I suspect he's not even on the bench.
