There's some stuff shown about Muginami's past, there's the revelation that while Lan is the most boring character in the show, she's a bit of an exibitionist, which makes her more likable for me... oh, and the shocking revelation that alien dude turns his breakfast into a shit before eating it, ewww.
What isn't there, is some nice fight between giant robots piloted by cute girls.
