Yep he was good in his first month. Hopefully he can reach those levels again and stay near enough to them. A good option to have for sure. He has just come back from a long time out so his performances at Chelsea and Ajax will have been because of that in part at least.

Similar to Downing really. He had a pretty bright start and looked dangerous with Enrique behind him. He seems to have lost all confidence now though, he doesn't take on his full back nearly enough and seems to prefer ridiculous early crosses with no one in the box. If he was more aggressive and had confidence in his ability to beat his man then he'll be a good player, but he's been abject so far.

I wonder if things would have gone differently for Downing if that shot against Sunderland had gone in.

The latest inside City is pretty interesting.

There's lots of Kun, he gets his photos took to have himself rendered properly for FIFA 12. Maybe a upcoming patch?

Also good sections of them training both at home and at Carrington. Oh, and Trollotelli can't keep his face straight on his FIFA 12 photo shoot.

And there's not a peep of Tevez.

Lmao, I always say that when I play against City. Aguero looks nothing like himself, neither does Clint Dempsey.

Pretty sure theres a FIFA 12 Patch coming on the 23rd.

10 million went on his transfer, 1 million went to his agent, he earns 2.5mil a year and we signed him up for 4 years so thats another 10 million and he gets a match appearance bonus of 5k a game so chalk up another 100k at least every season and we've already spent 21.1 million of the 55 million available.

Brilliant.

I remember a post like this from an Arsenal fan regarding a transfer. I can't remember if it was in the past seasons football thread or that site they set up after their thread was locked.

55 million, thats about 3 players at best.

That's called a hadareud and fans like him who pony up the cash to watch this shower of shite are exactly the reason we are in the deep shit.

You should not go to the stadium. I even had our firm not renew our corporate box this season.

AVB Press Conference incoming. Is he resigning?
If he does, all hope is lost...Managers need to be given a chance, I feel so sorry for him after seeing him shaking on camera at the weekend, the man needs to be given the opportunity to prove himself, not just over one season.

I used to really love the subject in a-levels, absolutely hate it now. Macroeconomics and Econometrics will kill me.
I thought it was just my Macro lecturer making it extra horrendous, but perhaps not...Does anyone take Development Economics? That's depression in module form...it is interesting though.

That's the kind of stuff that will really hurt the owners. We dumped our box seats at Wembley from next season, and will probably dump the ones at the Emirates from 2013 when our deal runs out.

Can't find anything on news sites or OS, was it on Sky?

I thought Balotelli was in the original shoot? Aguero arrived later I believe, Johnson must've been ill or something.

Does anyone here study economics at uni?

It's a load of shite.

Rant over.

Industrial management & economics (civil engineering). I'll soon be finished, taking quite a bit of marketing courses atm. I'm enjoying the economics part, it's the math/physics that can be a bore sometimes.

I would love it if they updated some of the player likenesses. Assou-Ekotto looks like a melted Robert Carlyle. His rating is a joke as well. 78. 78. Chamakh is 81! The whole Spurs team needs to have their ratings boosted.

Just a standard pre-match press conference isn't it? They have a CL game tomorrow.

Usually the press conferences are on the site to watch. Haven't seen anything about this one.

I keep meaning to go through and correct it all; Smalling is like 73, Nani and Young 85 while Valencia is 83, aforementioned Spurs players and also Norwich and Swansea... but it takes so much time.

Some times have a certain agreement with EA giving HQ faces and sponsorship, like City. They've promoted Fifa 12 a lot.

80:ish is pretty good I think, there are few PL full backs in the game that has 80+.

I'm currently in career mode, maybe four-five years in, and what sucks is that there are NO new talents in the game other than my own. There is literally no player below 23-24 that has above 80. Someone has 78, rest below 75. Fucking career mode, the hours feels wasted now.

Plus, every single club has a shitload of money. Suarez plays for Norwich, Aguero and Tevez are strikers at Blackburn. And they've finished at best 10th place, still loads of money.

There are also no free transfer to talk about, every player signs contracts to the left and right.

THE ASSASSIN RETURNS

Tons of stuff to do with work and school so all forums have been on hold since new year's.

English at Uni of Liverpool. I know, I know... I'm already dead.

Anyways - you're not alone, Clegg. I'd like to think most people leave uni having hated their time there. Unless you're one of those 'I went to Africa in September and it was cool' types, of course.

I've got 4 essays in for next month I haven't even started yet. A critical theory one, a contemporary narrative in fiction one, a creative writing one and a journalism one. Woe is me.

As bad as that seems, it's still far more enjoyable than having a job.

Fuck work.

I actually like uni. But all my mates agree that it would be a much better place if we didn't actually have to take any courses.

Well that's certainly one way of looking at it! I think I'd enjoy it a hell of a lot more if the lecturers were actually organised. I've got a module on Dickens this semester and in late January an email was sent around notifying us that the module convener had left the uni, and that another lecturer was going to pick up the pieces. That lecturer didn't find out the reading list until February (no one knew where it was, apparently), so now I'm reading a 600-page Dickens book every week on top of the reading for my other modules. I know it's Dickens and I probably should have read it by now, but still - what's the harm in letting people know what they should read in good time? I could have read everything in the summer.

'Provisional' reading lists are released in the Spring, but I've bought too many books only to have them wiped from the module to bother doing that anymore. There's a Blackwell's on campus that we always get guided towards by the lecturers, and they always seem to have the books for the occasion. It wouldn't surprise me if the reading lists were held back as a way of forcing us to buy from there.. But really, they're just terribly unorganised.

Anyways - congrats Wilbury! and FOOTBALL

Bayern Munich and Napoli have admitted to holding an interest in Montpellier's highly-rated striker Olivier Giroud. (SkySports)

Fixed :)

Could be worse, could be having to decide on what to do your dissertation on :(

That sounds like hell. You have my sympathies.

My modules are generally well organised. Our textbooks are pretty easy to understand and the lecturers are approachable enough that they don't have a problem with helping you with the material.

Some of the economic theorems are a pain in the arse though :/

Fucking hell, I just saw some of AVB's press conference on SSN, his face while Drogba was speaking was terrifying. It was as if he was trying to melt the brains of every journalist in the room. He's cracking up a bit.

If you had to pick one of the two options below, which one would it be:

1- Your one chance to go on a date with the woman of your dreams.

2- Witness your team win the champions league for the last time.

Neglect factors that may easily influence your choice such as currently being married or supporting a team like Barca.
