Think on the proportions, man! That work in framing and such that filmmakers use cautiously to compose a luring and absorbing image (and normally scalable enough for consumer devices) to be deformed, comically squashed, shattering the ideal illusion of a thoughtfully represented space. I pay a troupe of classically trained thespians to act out my anime. Its the only way to watch.

This is the point where I mention that, in my heady student days, I wrote about five songs for a musical version of Hellsing that I oh-so-wittily called... Hellsing.

e: holy shit I just looked it up and PAL speedup turns Seven Samurai into a 3h 9m movie as opposed to 3h 27m. That's 18 minutes!

All was shit and giggles in the PAL region until you suffered the habitual inappropriate pulldown conversions on a lot of content, and this without taking into account those terrible game releases with other nasty issues some distributors did...

Meanwhile Rook is totally just using Gammon to build up Kaito and all that stuff he told Gammon at the end of last episode was bullshit.

Man, those two guys from the puzzle club are annoying. >>

Elena tries to work her way into Gammon's head, calling him out on his true intentions. And Gammon plays along at first only to startle her by revealing that she's (now) wrong about him. Kaito is seeing the future if he obtains the Phi Brain, or at least he thinks that's what it is.

Shit is getting very very real.

A meh episode. I really didn't care for the what came first part with showing cavemen defending the other view of the question. Part two wasn't that bad with talking about operatives ruining the nation and each girl that comes in and shoves the previous one out. The last one was part two of ranges and stuff. Yeah it was and Bishop deserves more screentime. Bikes, the laser max box thing of the previous episode, are definitely up there for me for the coolest puzzles. Need to see what puzzle is in 20.

Pretty good episode. First part about tinted glasses, then about Rin buying her way through town which was amusing, and everyone in cheerleader outfits. I really didn't follow, so I just assumed it was to get everyone into a cheerleader outfit.

I'm seriously impressed with the action in this show. Super exciting thus far but it'll be interesting to see how Mellowlink gets out of real trouble when he doesn't have the advantage of preparing encounters in advance.

I think that has to be one of my favourite battles in Mellowlink and, by association, one of the coolest fight scenes in any mecha show.

Wasn't it though? I'm hoping the show keeps up the pace to the finish.

Paranoia Agent is definitely bizarre, but I think the "psychological torture" aspect is lacking. The self-contained nature of most of the episodes takes a lot of the sting out of it.

Of course, I'm a mushroom at the base of the animeGAF totem pole so I don't really get a say in the matter.

I don't think PA is anywhere near School Days level. One that I would put on the list is probably the only show i've ever actually hated, which is Elfen Lied. So bad. I've also been pushing for Texhnolyze, but for different reasons (mostly because yes, you feel like that chart as you watch it) and not because of the quality.
