Bad advice. Anyone who knows anything about gambling knows that if you go on losing streak, that's when you start upping your bets to get yourself back into that winning mindset.

Actually the martingale system gives you an almost certain 200% return.
It's more popular for the roulette.

Basically you play 10 euro at an X (odds should be over 3).
If you lose you play 20 at the next available game. X again.
If you lose you play 40 and so on...

When you win (and you WILL win) you get double your money back.
Of course if that x doesn't come for a lot of games (it can happen) you are screwed...
