Splatt confirmed.

I doubt they're going to take them. Unless you pay them?

Or kick them in the head like Ibra kicks his teammates

What the hell are you on? What you're saying is nothing new and basically what we've agreed on in this thread for quite some time.

No City fan in here think the current players would join without the sheiks. Why the fuck would they?

The risk of City loosing the sheiks are today almost as big as Arsenal going bankrupt. City are in a good position to win titles so today players join to make money and win titles. Three years ago, they would only make money.

Depends what you mean by make money. City will never turn a profit under their current financial model. Never.

Plus, what PL player would be ready to do a 50% decrease in salary for the club? That has nothing to do with City.

Read the Swiss ramble article on the previous page of your geniounly interested.

I so wish Lavezzi was #21 instead of #22. I decided to collect number 21 jerseys as its my number on my futsal team. So far only Lucas and David Silva (Spain) in the collection.

It does because no other club (except the Chavs) would ever be in a position where the wages are completely unaffordable if the current ownership sold up or gave up. In fact Arsenal and Spurs would be better off (at least in the short term) as a new owner would clear any existing debts and break the wage structure. At United it would make no material difference, they make £100m profits per season.

I have a couple friends who live in London now so I'm hoping to visit. It's a compromise with my gf who wants to visit London. I just want to visit Liverpool.

My sole trip to Liverpool left me with one lasting impression I will probably never forget.

PURPLE BINS. I was amazed.

After making investments, which City are doing now as well. You make it sound like United won trophies by only using magic and their academy.

You find me a single season from United's history where they spend more on wages than their revenue. 100% that you can't because is never happened. Man United's growth was very organic with no ridiculous business model that depends on a benefactor who may or may not stick around for the long haul. Even after being abused by the Glazers, Man United are still the second most profitable club in the world.

The magic was investing correctly and it was academy players. That clutch of players "you never win anything with kids" was from the United academy. So don't act like they weren't, I am loath to defend Man United, but to say their rise to the top of football was anything like what we have seen with Chelsea/City is completely wrong. They invested with footballing profits, money from the IPO and over a long period of time.

Arguing for a meaningful equivalence between the clubs being bicycle-pumped full of money these days and clubs of the past is a bit of a losing tack.

But would you rather want to live in Manchester? I have slept on a bench in London and that was more pleasant than being in Manchester.

I'd much rather live in Manchester than London. And that's saying something if you understand my absolute disdain for the City's culture.

It's a time waster. No City fan act like we aren't on of the luckiest fan bases in the world. And no other fan should act like they would reject this money.

The sheiks have done a fucking good job so far. From staff, players, infrastructure to fan communication.

There's this big fucking hate because people, for some reason, seem to think City fans believe Aguero & CO joined because of our rich history.

Oh please, Rafael is 11.3 times the player Lahm is. Not many people can defeat Andy Carroll in an aerial duel.

Rafael has got hops indeed. But he's... Rafael.

I'll get Pirlo and Lahm next season. Bayern's home is sweet but it's the exact same design as Liverpool's charcoal grey away (in different colors), which I already have.

Why do you keep bringing up that shit, revenue and wage percentage?! We're a developing club, those things will change for the better when we gain popularity. They dont change over night. Look at that article, as I've said several times. The owners have more in store than just buying players. This is the early phases of a long planned strategy. If you're not gonna read about it there's no point in arguing. I'm off to bed anyway.

Haha well I have never lived in England, just a few small trips to watch football and concerts every now and then so have no real idea. Manchester really just seemed like such a big shit hole and I didn't feel the same kind of danger of being randomly attacked by chavs at all in London as in Manchester, most likely just me being in a more shitty place in Manchester. Had a pretty great moment in Manchester though when I asked some big black bouncer if he knew where a certain street was, he had no idea and yelled at someone inside to get to the door at what I thought was a night club, out comes a transvestite in huge heels that happily explained me where it was. Such a weird moment because he kept in character as a woman while explaining it to me, then demanded a kiss for explaining. That was like my first experience in Manchester after getting out of a train from the airport.

London's pretty shit. In the past half year alone I've had to leave work early because there was riots in the streets and the tram I get every day has been IN THE INTERNATIONAL RACIST NEWS.

But we've got the best teams. Chelsea, QPR, Man United.

Things are cheaper and people tend to be a little more friendly up North. Apart from that, literally everything is worse. Not bad, just of a lower quality.

My footy number is 17. Who wears that apart from the great Nani?
Mines is 18! No prizes for guessing why.

London is brilliant. Can understand why some people don't like it but it'd comfortably be the most popular choice for a place to live for most people. One of the problems this country has actually, it only really has one major city, at least on a global scale. Other cities in their UK have their plus points but London is easily a cut above. There are some issues with lifestyle but the positives definitely out-weigh the negatives for me. Especially when you can afford it.

City are bringing Tevez back into the fold. Hilarious. He's a great player so i'm sure he'll help them, but it's just so funny to see them bring him back after giving it the "he's done for" line. Oh City...MASSIVE club.

how exciting it was to read that Mata scored first...and then read on as the Napoli goals came tumbling in. I guess reading instead of watching gave me a false sense of hope as the game went on.

The away goal is crucial though, and 2-0 is possible...but just barely.
