It is expected of such a genki girl as Madoka to own a dog and take her outside, strolling around at the beach.
Of course trying to outrun each other. All the fun stuff.
It is really rare for anime protagonists to have pets. I can not think of any right now.
Edit: When I actually thought about it I remembered 1. 2. 3. and Esmeralda and Chuchu and Pen-Pen so the appropriate name for this dog here would be some Wan-Wan.

The Secret World of Arrietty
Saw this movie with some friends last night and the best way to see it is definitely in the theater with a good sound system. The sound design was just top notch through out as was the soundtrack (well until the last few minutes of the credits). When we where in the perspective of the borrowers sounds large things had a nice proper heft to them and the borrowers own sounds were made to echo quite nicely in the cavernous space of the house. Ghibli movies do a great job of creating a sense of place and I thought this movie was no exception. Definitely one of the best movies I've seen this year.

hadn't made an appearance, it would have all been kinda boring.
I don't feel like I'm ever going to "get" this show. Even when it works, it doesn't work for me. There aren't really any characters I care about. Sometimes the dialogue makes me smile. I'm starting to respect what the show does in creating its weird, introverted mood, but that doesn't mean I get much enjoyment from it, because I don't think there's a very strong base below it.
I guess I'm sticking it out. If I can't even get through this, how can I watch Blood-C once the Blu-Rays hit?

Demon King Daimao Episodes 5-8
Not as good as the first four episodes but still enjoyable. I would say the show seemed to calm down a bit but there were several scenes that were borderline hentai. I guess they decided to forgo the numerous panty/boob shots for the more risqué stuff.

There's a really cool sequence at the end where they fight a Chinese dragon.
I suppose it also teaches us about the healing powers of sex.
That's about it.
Yeah, I'm one step ahead in terms of seeing Crimson Wolf, or rather, Hon Ran. It's extremely forgettable. So much so that I looked at the cover and forgot that I'd watched it.
