Better attack and better defence. Always felt the old side was all bluff and buster, losing to them felt like the Arsenal side playing them hadn't bothered trying hard enough. 2007-2008 side was genuinely shit yourself scary.

I'll definitely give you Evra's decreasing usefulness, Ferdinand's shaky fitness and VDS being a big loss.
