Who do you guys think is going to win PFA Player of the Year?

I expect it to go do either Silva or Van Persie.

Gotta go RvP, if he doesn't score or do anything Arsenal flat-out does not win. Even when he does score sometimes it's not enough, but he has been healthy this season and a scoring machine.

He's definitely up there, yes. Although I'm sure a few years will have to pass by for hardcore Inter, Milan, Roma, etc. fans to fully acknowledge it. As far as Juventus aficionados go, well ... I get teary-eyed every time I think about how incredibly sad I'll be this may in Turin, at his last match in bianconero. It's going to be fucking brutal for the people attending. Tears will flow, manly and womanly. There's never been someone quite like him, not even when it comes to absolute Juve legends like Boniperti, Scirea, Bettega and Platini. Capitanooo!

If only the goddamn knee injury had never happened, sigh. He's been amazing ever since, but never the same. And for what's worth - not much, really - I still can't believe fucking MATTHIAS SUMMER won the Ballon d'Or in '96 over Alex. What a disgrace that was.

Do you think Juventus will offer him an honorary position within the club, when he retires?

Just as a thank you for all he's done for them? I'm sure it would go down well with he fans too.

And thanks to Serie A gaf for answering my questions.

Somehow, Robben overall is 89 now (90 before) but now he's better haha.
Also, looks like Kroos is more like the real Kroos now.

Has to be RVP. Silva has been great but his form has dipped a little from what it was at the start of the season.

Bale could be in with a shout too. He won the award a few years ago but I think he's playing better football now than he was back then.

Silva doesn't deserve it IMO.

Silva has been the best and most important player for the team currently atop the table, he certainly has to be considered.

As for Totti, Frank pretty much has it spot on, you aren't going to be as loved by fans of other clubs when you're an annoying sofab.

Oh, for sure, and hopefully it'll be more than just honorary. That's what Del Piero sees in his future and I'm pretty sure there's a club presidency waiting for him down the road. It's not like great player/great manager is a given, but Alex just oozes class and competence. He's also our most recognizable icon and the club would have to be incredibly stupid not to use him in some capacity in the near future.

Fucking Eva Green, she does not get photographed enough.

Too often for my tastes, she looks fine in this picture. Most others Ghoulish. Ugh.

What's Cuenca's stats like?

Also it's got to be RvP. If voted now, I'd the 6 players will be:

Silva
Aguero
RvP
Ba
Bale
Parker

I will have to check when I turn my console on. But if I remember before the update he was like 75-77

Edit: Its got to be RVP, its the reason why Arsenal are not is much deeper shit.

There's a suit waiting for him.

Bale will win Young Player of the Year. I can't think of anyone else who can realistically win that.

Cleverley obviously.

Nah maybe media hype will give Jones a chance of winning but he shouldn't. He'll be nominated along with Sturridge, Welbeck... can't think who else.

I think Welbeck might get a nomination for YPOTY. Sturridge and Jones will probably get the nod as well.

Chamberlain might get a nomination too, so long as he gets more games. And er... that's about all I can think of.

I think you're probably right about Bale.

That was last year!

RvP has to be the man who wins it unless his form suddenly plummets. Bale for YPotY, most probably. Can't think of anybody else who is aged under 23 and playing better than him.

Seriously though, do you think his fellow professionals PFA members are going to vote for him?

Probably not, and there is a preference for home nations players for both awards.

Gonna go with the obvious choice for the full award, Grant Holt........

yes I am kidding this time 8)

Lmao his hair seems extra big in that pic.... and one of Miami Fusions'(MLS) very own, we even had Ray Hudson as manager!

I remember my second MLS match was the Revolution against the Fusion.

Walter Zenga and Valderrama both got red cards, I think

PFA Player of the Year is Assou-Ekotto.

Best hair is also Assou-Ekotto.

Nedved <3 my favorite player. EVER.
They don't make them like Pavel anymore.

Filippo should really consider home schooling [img]http://i.imgur.com/nGOxj.gif

So why is there a separate MLS thread? Why don't they talk about it in here? all 4 of them I mean.

cuz we're eurosnobs and MLS is not a top 10 league.. :D

anyways, wtf is Johan Cruyff doing at chicharito's old team, Chivas (MEX)?
:O

Work on our youth system? I'm ecstatic, but only if Vergara actually is patient with this project.

you guys need to fire that guy to save face. Because of his dumbass ignorance, your team is losing almost every game and you got 2 pts!! so far this season. I do hope Johan Cruyff does his magic.

That's kind of difficult considering he owns Chivas. Just saying.

I wanna be cautiously optimistic about Cruyff, but this is not the first time we've had Dutch people working on our football schools. Hans Westerhof was instrumental in rebuilding the team after it looked like it was going to go down under, and it's no coincidence that most of Mexico's recent successes at national teams have been fathered by the people he taught under Chivas (Chepo de la Torre is the most notable example). The problem is that Vergara... well I don't know what's the problem with him. Gossip says that there are hardly any remnants from that era inside the club's workings, and those that remain (José Luis Real) have been relegated to less important positions.

The problem here lies on the immediacy at which Mexican football works on. You cannot expect to have long-lasting impact in your club structure when most of the coaches sign contracts for very short periods of time and live on a week-by-week basis. The "half-a-season -> playoff" format of the tournament encourages short-term planning and is detrimental to the kind of football academy Chivas tried to construct during the 2000s. And since it's very unlikely that the tournament is gonna change then we have to put our trust in this trigger-happy owner. So yeah, I can see why one would remain skeptic.
