Well this wasn't obvious at all.

Where are all the non basketball watchers saying Lebrons too slow to guard lin or that they'd give him a free pass? You guys make me laugh

How does Lin's a/t ratio and FG% compare to AI?

FaiLIN.

I still like him though, I think it's always good to have a representative from some part of the world become a star in the NBA... like Yao.

Knicks have been playing much better without Lin in this one.

It didn't seem like Baron Davis was doing all that much either. These guys are just too good. Like I predicted earlier, the way the Knicks have been playing and the turnovers you could tell that they weren't ready for this. This is the final boss and the Knicks are talented but still haven't completed the tutorial.

Will you people stop being such drama queens, this thread doesn't move all that fast and most people are probably in the NBA thread.

I still can't understand why people enjoy shitting on the guy so much though.

They think by dropping these over-the-top troll posts trying to one-up each other that they're funny and can be a part of the "Best-GAF" elite, but it's just lame. Reminds me of the 3DS/Vita Doomed meme over on the other side (although Vita probably really is doomed).

Why? He's worth way more than what they pay him as far as ticket sales, merchandise etc. go. They'll ride Lin until the wheels fall off.

And this is why thekad is posting in this thread. It's the only place people will still fall for his D-grade trolling.

NBA merchandise revenue all goes to the league, not the Knicks. The Knicks get ticket revenue, but MSG sells out even in the Starbury days. Knicks could've gotten a decent piece like TMac for Lin.

My suggestion is that the Knicks employ a big brother little brother offense. Lin needs to give Tyson the ball and he's gonna dunk it.

Should have taken my advice. Let me coach this team, this angry moustache man doesn't know what he is doing.

This I don't understand. People have been dying to jump on his throat after a bad game, like they take special joy in seeing a group of 8 year veterans/future HOFers stomp out a 2nd year played who was on the verge of getting cut 3 weeks ago. Its like rooting for Cobra Kai.

I understand the hate if he publicly acts like an ass or is being wildly overpaid.

Its not like he's getting a max contract like his other two underperforming teammates.
Its not like he stupidly made announced that he was going to win 7 championships.

The dude just wanted to ball. You can hate on ESPN and everyone else for hyping this up. I'm sure he would have like to keep shit private( I'm sure its a little embarassing to know that the world knew you were sleeping on people's couches because your contract wasn't guaranteed.) That said I'm not a huge fan of Tebow, but I also don't get the hate for him either.

Anyways, its a good learning experience for him. Too bad Carmelo is untradeable with that contract.

Yeah pretty much this. They think they are hilarious, but only amuse themselves. Like when dudes from Jackass eat shit or light their nuts on fire, the cast is laughing, but the general public is like "ugh, not these assholes again."

I don't know what all the hate is about, Lin is the next Stockton.

Stockton is the next Steve Nash!

(it made sense in my head)

Funny thing is he did this same thing in the D league... he tore it up and then got shut down as teams started playing him differently.. or course people wouldn't know that because they don't follow basketball, because of rap music thugs and tattoos...

The kid is good for the game, I hope he gets some help from the coaches to help him grow.. he seems suited for the run and gun style of play so he should be fine..

Hawks already have Teague and Pargo playing point (plus T-Mac can play point forward in a pinch), so that trade doesn't make sense from the Hawks perspective.

Jameer Nelson's injured so a Lin for Big Baby swap would make sense for both teams. Knicks could use the depth down low.

Teague is like a poor man's version of Jennings..

Really? Let's not forget that Lin is still young and almost practically a rookie (sophmore). Aside from the Mavericks and Lakers, this is probably the best defense Lin has faced this month. The Knicks acquired new player in R.J. Smith, mourning Amare and off-the-injury Melo. They've had no real practice. Lin has a couple of bad games and people are quick to trash him. I can't believe you trolls.

Once the Knicks get some real practice time (5 days worth after the all-star break and some games), and showcase what they have worked on, then you jerkoffs can criticize. I can't believe the ignorance displayed on this thread.

I can only speak for the guys that I have been speaking basketball with for about 11 years or so..
But they are pretty much spot on.. People said the Heat would shut him down and they were called haters because teh Heat had no body to stop the Lin-bullet..

Saying a player is average or so right now in his career is far from ignorance or bashing.. people who take it as such are rooting for him for the wrong reasons..
