Jeremy Lin: Asian American, Harvard Grad... NBA great?

Really? Let's not forget that Lin is still young and almost practically a rookie (sophmore). Aside from the Mavericks and Lakers, this is probably the best defense Lin has faced this month. The Knicks acquired new player in R.J. Smith, mourning Amare and off-the-injury Melo. They've had no real practice. Lin has a couple of bad games and people are quick to trash him. I can't believe you trolls.

Once the Knicks get some real practice time (5 days worth after the all-star break and some games), and showcase what they have worked on, then you jerkoffs can criticize. I can't believe the ignorance displayed on this thread.

Lin got shut down by General Greivis and Super Mario Chalmers.

And practice doesn't help players who suck like Melo and Amare.

I can only speak for the guys that I have been speaking basketball with for about 11 years or so..
But they are pretty much spot on.. People said the Heat would shut him down and they were called haters because teh Heat had no body to stop the Lin-bullet..

Saying a player is average or so right now in his career is far from ignorance or bashing.. people who take it as such are rooting for him for the wrong reasons..

your mom

but yes, never forget how i told you all about Wall and YNB

Thank you for the insight, non-casual basketball fan. R.J. Smith is indeed the reason for Lin's struggles. The ignorance displayed here is indeed unbelievable. These guys just started watching basketball because of Lin and think they're experts already.

At the same time Lin has had a handful or good games and he becomes over hyped

Dude its one bad game. Not saying he's an All Star, but he's still a legit NBA starter who came out of nowhere. Lebron couldn't even beat fucking Jason Kidd one on one in last years finals, but I'm not saying LeBron's trash.

Funny that he has to shoulder all this responsibility, when he's making the league mininum, but MDA wasn't kidding when he was going to "ride him like Secretariat." A competent coach like Popovich would probably start making adjustments for this, but I doubt things will change knowing D'Antoni.

Anyways, he has to get used to wearing a bulls eye now for better or worse. Hopefully this Linsanity hype will die down so we can focus on the ball.

I was right about Hibbert and Monroe! And you told us about that before you got turned out in Utah..

Completely uncalled for.

After all I had to endure so that Jazz-age would be able to say they had a black friend.

I guess I forgot to say that this was a team game and that everyone had to "buy-in" to D'Antoni's system. I watch basketball on and off. I'm not a basketball expert. It's true that I've watched more basketball because of Lin. But to go off to say that Lin needs to be traded and that he is overrated is stupid. He did not start until late of the first half of the season. He had a bad game and it is another learning experience for him- he will better from it or not. Save your judgment until after the season.

He's being over-hyped because of his story and the $ that is being generated. His story is such a positive influence to almost everyone. Now when I say almost everyone, the people left out are the vast amount of dickweeds like you that like to watch the world burn.

Do society and future generations a favor and stick your dick in an electrical outlet so your balls can implode.

You agree that he is overhyped, but not that he's overrated?

How can you adequately rate OR hype someone, but turn around and say, "save your judgment until after the season"?

such is the nature of hype. one minute you're a god, the next you're god shammgod. this is why all basketball discussion should be restricted to professional basketball posters like myself.

I am still Linsane in the membrane.

And, in two weeks I will reveal my Michael Jordan is a colossal dick stories, once the contract is up with Nike.

Short of it is, I love working with Nike and the Air Jordan brand. MJ, not so much and he can eat a bag of dicks.

Michael Jordan is a very humble and gracious family man. I saw it firsthand in the documentary about him, "Space Jam."

Hopefully it will coincide with DM's unbanning!

Jordan has no idea who you are or what a 'GAF' is that you're posting this on.

I used to work as an intern for the Bobcats. He has every right to be afraid.

The guy who got his internship with me ended up changing his major entirely because he asked MJ for an autograph one day.

did he look mj in the eye when he asked? did he not use the correct jordan honorific? if he did, he got what's coming to him.

Warriors guards did ok v. the Heat

Monta Ellis - 22pts, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 9 turnovers, 9/25FG
Nate Robinson - 24pts, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, two turnovers, 4/12 FG, 14/14 from the line.

Oh and they also won the game.

MJ gave him the autograph, had him fired the next day, and made him a running joke in every closed circle meeting from Baltimore to Miami.

Haters can eat taters, Lin will be back with a vengeance. Sure I may not have advanced basketball knowledge but I know enough to not write anyone off after one loss and start day dreaming about trades.

It was unfair that noble Lin had to put up with American slime in the Heat, who hacked him mercilessly on his arms and shoulders. He was unable to victory alone, but could not will his team even with the Lord's ever constant watch.

By most accounts he is still considered one of the greatest to have played the game in only his first few starts. This single game does not erase the tsunami of positive basketball that Lin brought to the shores of New York. It does not negate the impact he will continue to have with his humility and pure basket ball skills, which many still feel are superior to even those who play on the Heat.

Lin has vision. He has heart. He can shoot the ball into the basket and he is a born Chinese winner. Now and Forever!
