I'm not sure I'm fully comfortable comparing NBA-age to the Heat like I just did.

:|

I have no problem with yall trolling Lin stans, it just looks mad suspect comming from Laker age... Oh and Knicks age called it, one bad game in a loss and Lin is done FOREVER lmao

Westbrook's answer to the "is it special to beat the Lakers?" question kind of scares me. These guys finally believe they're for real, especially after Durant officially arrived last week.

Hey, Gondo/TylerD.

Good game.

You guys are gonna be scary if you can ever get Westbrook under control.
That's the thing about Westbrook. He's at his best when he's right on the edge of playing stupid.

No reason this team shouldn't be in the Finals, and I think they actually match up well with the Heat.

I'm most scared of the Spurs though.

Westbrook ever stops being Westbrook and OKC is going to run the west for a few years. GG.

Lakers need to get rid of whore knees and Fish. That is all.

7 out of 24.

can we get another scorer on the team please?

Pathetic. Honestly, in games like this i have no idea why the lakers don't put in rookies with fresh legs like Ebanks, Morris, Glock in some form of tandem to counter Miami/okc speed. No trade is going to make this team fast unless the whole bench is sucked.

Thunder a pretty bad matchup for the Lakers not only because the Thunder are really athletic and the Lakers are old men, but because the Thunder give up a million turnovers normally, but this Laker team is really bad at forcing turnovers. Lakers can't exploit OKC's biggest weakness. Not that the series would really be close anyway, but it's still something that might be interesting to think about.

4th game in 5 nights and the game right before the all star break.

Oh no, the Lakers only had the same things to deal with as the Thunder did.

One thing is, though, that OKC struggles guarding good PFs (ala Dirk) and Pau showed that again tonight. Plus, Harden generally struggles on D on Kobe and Kobe would be a lot better than he was tonight.

Durant still wasn't great vs Ron. Decent, but not his usual stuff (he got a lot against Barnes).

Plus Lakers offensive rebounding would be better if they weren't so tired. OKC wins the series, but I think Lakers make it hard for them.

All at home. lakers on the road for last 3, plus much older. C'mon now.

If kobe played slightly better today lakers probably would have had a chance. But like he said, gotta have a perfect game to stand a chance at all in the playoffs.

My friends always talk shit to me about how much of a pessimist I am about the Knicks. They're just foolishly blind. I say I'd get rid of guys like Amare today if I could, and they mock me by saying "hopefully you never manage a team". I go in with low or realistic expectations into many matchups, and they critique me for being negative. Well, yeah...why in God's name would I expect a win against the Heat or Mavericks? They're better than us - their track records were proof enough. Sure, we beat the Mavs...barely. So I posted a little note on my FB to all of my friends, whom I decided to bail on today, by not going to the city to watch what I knew would be a blood bath and Lin's worst game of this stretch. But I suppose it can be used here for some of the diehard Knick fans, too...

So to my dearest Knicks fans:

I am as big a Knick fan as the next guy. But I'm a realist. While I do believe there is a resurgence, our max contract stars like Amare are shitting up our team. Your final excuse of 'they need time to gel' has officially arrived. It's the All Star Break. That means tons of practice ahead for a few overpaid scrubs that need it. If the post-Break Knicks don't improve considerably, and I'm talking .600+ status, what's the next excuse going to be? "Oh, wait for the next season!" Though, I really, really wish to be proven wrong and I'm not being sarcastic.

Also just came off a huge win @ Dallas the night before
Too many factors at play here to count this as anything more than a throwaway game leading to the all star break.
