NBA finals

Born and raised in OKC and Pacers are going to win.
Wait Wait Wait What Is That GIF

And gave up a ton

Unless you love someone at #10 in this draft, not really. Jalen Green is an inefficient, inconsistent chucker that doesn't add anything else to the table. He's empty calories and has a lot of big dollar years left on his contract. Dillon Brooks has -13.8 career wins over replacement player.

Yea Suns definitely are the loser here. 2nd round picks aren't worth much in the NBA. Sounds like a lot on paper, but it's not. Getting rid of Durant is a good first step for them though. They'll need to find a way to dump Beal or flip Green and whatever draft capital they have into something else. As a Suns fan, I do not want Green at all.

Beal's happy in Phoenix and has a no trade clause, so he can't just be dumped. Booker will probably sign a 2-year extension on 7/6, but I think both he and the Suns will quickly come to the realization that it is better to part ways as the limited draft capital will make it hard to retool during Booker's prime years. Trading for Beal really fucked the Suns, that and Ishbia buying the team. It could be worse though, you could have traded Luka Doncic after he'd just taken you to the finals and was perfectly happy in Dallas. Fuck you forever, Nico.

Damn missed the game. Truck kept jerking and then i got a flat tire. Stuck in indiana for the night. Sucks that Haliburton got injured, would've liked to see a real game without an injured player.

The game last night is one of the great what-ifs of all time. Indiana could have won that game (say 40-45% chance) had Haliburton not gotten injured and the team and fans are going to wonder about that forever.

Hey now. Be nice. 😭😭

At least we won more Big XII championships than every other team combined and we're not even in the conference any more.

Haha no Im with you man, I went to OU... OU football is my first love.

I just had to laugh at how ironic it is. Im still using coping mechanisms to mask the lingering pain from last year

I can't believe OU hasn't won since 2001. 🫨

As a Cowboys fan, I feel their pain.

Injuries have changed the course of entire franchises in all of sports

Even in this NBA Playoffs what if Tatum didn't also blow out his achilles would Indy have even beaten the Celtics?

we aren't talking about three different series where all sorts of things can happen, we are talking about literally one game.

Just taking the day to soak in an NBA Championship...it's surreal in a way. I still can't believe it.

I'm 48 and born and lived most of my life around OKC and have always been a huge Thunder fan of course...and it's a very special deal for everyone in Oklahoma. I won't take it for granted that's for sure because nothing is ever certain in the future...but for right now the future is incredibly bright for OKC and I'm going to enjoy the ride.

Stay classy Oklahoma

What a trashbag I wish someone would have knocked that guy out. Guy in the blue looks like he was at least trying to help.

Some people are total losers.
Post was deleted before I could see it but yes people are horrible.

Have told this story before but blew a save one night and the following day my wife was holding our 1 or maybe 2 year old son while she was grocery shopping and a "fan" pushed them to the ground telling her if I blew another save he was killing me or maybe it was even my whole family

Over a meaningless save

Unreal, people are fucking insane. Sports makes them mental. Sorry that happened to your fam. People like that should be forced to enter a UFC cage with a group of men from the harassed family.

Video was basically a bunch of clowns yelling shit like "go home" at a mom and her kid... but then the ringleader like has his phone point blank in the kids face and rips his Pacers hat off and start mocking them even harder.

There's some guy in Thunder shirt trying to get between them and the family and get the kids hat back.

What sucks is those people are just trash, they aren't even wearing Thunder gear. They're obviously from OKC, but they just came out to start shit in the aftermath and spark the chaos. The only person in the vid wearing a Thunder shirt is the guy actually trying to help the family.

Would have like to seen a pissed off cop come in and split someone's wig at the end.

Edit - People in that reddit thread are saying they recognize the guy as a youtube ragebaiter. I didn't recognize the name though.

What a memorable and bittersweet pic with the OKC Bombing Memorial in the background:

The MVP leading the charge with his gold dipped shoes - who wouldn't want a dude like this leading their team?

Haliburton playing and pacers winning it all is a load of crap, you don't just win a championship with an inconsistent player, Haliburton was the least of thunders problems, would Haliburton's firepower have stopped? I don't know.

OKC is going to win it. Respectable team despite the unlikeable FT merchant cunt

He's like a whore getting passed around..
Given how harden and Westbrook also get tossed around… plus the NBA makes a bunch of money off of jerseys now right now the Houston Durant jersey is on fire

Amazing how little buzz there was for this Finals, even after it went to game seven. I blame ESPN for a lot of that, their presentation and studio content was trash. Why is Stephen Smith anchoring it? Holy shit. So this is where the TNT crew is going? At least it can only get better. Plus NBC is getting basketball again?

Still extremely bitter about the Mavericks destroying their franchise. The Mavericks would have obliterated either of these teams with Luka.
