Dare I be excited? I'd give my kingdom for a victory right now.

Work on our youth system? I'm ecstatic, but only if Vergara actually is patient with this project.

I would be cautious about celebrating Cruyff being anywhere near your club. The man is one of the all time great footballers but he is a complete disaster off field. He manages to piss off just about everybody.

What happened to him in Ajax? Wasn't the court case just resolved, I thought it went in his favor?

check out this cool nike commercial featuring gattuso, aquilani, marchisio, and kobe bryant.

oh yeah, some inturd players are in it too i guess.

Because this thread is for Real Football and nobody would pay any attention to them anyways.

Their choice, still not sure why they prefer to stay apart. We would sooner they were right here. I would love to see more MLS talk in here.

I'm guessing because people like gate777.

Anyway, I think MLS is a decent league and is growing (the most important part), fan support is there and good young players are starting to show. Only downside is the USA way of "doing" sports: no relegation system, draft, the horrible calendar, etc. They have great facilities, and a lot of young latin players are going there.

I would love to see more MLS talk here too!

It did, although that may not be the best thing. My understanding though is he has almost singlehandley created a lot of bitterness at the club. There are some Ajax fans here though, they can probably set it straight far better than I can.

Its and advisory role with that mexican side. So its nothing but a PR move. Still curious about the Ajax matter.

He had a fight recently because van Gaal was appointed as Director of Sports or something like that at Ajax. They hate each other, so Cruyff went the legal way and made the decision to be reverted.

Cruyff and van Gaal are both divas and fucking assholes.

Fuck yes. Thanks for that. Damn do they really try to play that style most games?

To be honest, I don't watch Gladbach games that often. In the couples of matches they played against us, in the second one they scored twice in a play like you can see in the video. Actually I think there a couple of scenes from the Gladbach vs. Bayern game.

Favre, come to Bayern!

I think that may be a bit of an understatement. Vergara may be a lot of things, but he's not gonna pay Cruyff humongous amounts of money for something that would amount to a momentary spike in the club's marketing reach.

I wouldn't expect much out of it, That club is just badly managed and could use new owners.

The whole situation is pretty complicated honestly, yes he caused a lot of uproar, but i feel it was needed

The Ajax role was meant to be good PR as well 8) But yeah will be good to hear from Ajax fans what they think.

Oh man, this is a looooooong story.

Summary: Cruijff hated the way Ajax has been led for the last 10 years. Comes to start a revolution in the club. All the fans love him, all the people in the board hate him. A lot of trips to the court, a lot of money wasted. After a year he finally 'won'.

He created a technical staff (Wim Jonk, Dennis Bergkamp, Frank de Boer) and he wants to 'create' the youth division over again to make Ajax one of the best clubs in Europe again.

The story is so complicated, with 'racism', backstabbery and all kind of shit. But in the end, we hope he wins.

But yeah, all the fans love him. We didnt enter the stadium till minute 14, people sang his name for 90 minutes instead of talking about the team.

Holy shit. Well yeah, there ya go, good luck Ajax, bonne chance.

They try, Favre is a big fan of Barca's style and watched them a lot at Camp Nou.

Wow, great video. How are they going to fare in the CL next year without Reus? Don't know much Bundesliga. Beatiful play though.

Not to sound mean but I don't see them doing well in the CL. Probably just like we failed this year. For the Bundesliga, I have really no idea. Reus is making the difference to other teams most of the matches but they have Hermann who could grow in that role. If they get new players like Beister I could see them do well again. They might as well go out of the European places again with a stronger Leverkusen, Bremen, maybe even Hamburg, etc.

Totti will never get legend status for me simply because for all that he's done for Roma he's done a lot of bad to Roma in the post-Spalletti era. If he really gave a shit about Roma, he'd keep his mouth shut given that he never has anything positive to say that isn't about himself.

Del Piero is a legend, even Intermerda fans have to recognize that. Plain and simple. He's a national icon. Marchisio is our future captain and I can see us loving him as much as we did, say, Conte or Nedved but Del Piero is just on another level. It's really unbelievable what he represents.

The Express says we signed Lukimya (CB from Düsseldorf). I'd call bullshit because it's the Express but it is very likely that either Subotic or Santana leaves after this season, so I guess it could be true.

Apparently the FA will release a statement soon confirming he has withdrawn from the squad. Ankle injury is the rumour.

Obviously hoping its not true but if so just hope it's a minor set back. We're short on CM's and he himself needs to get playing again.

The strange thing about Bundesliga sides like Hamburg, Bremen, Stuttgart, Dortmund and Schalke is that they only are good in certain seasons. Sometimes they fare extremely well both internationally and in the BL and sometimes they barely avoid relegation.

You don't see that in other leagues except France where Monaco and Lens became champions and got relegated during the same decade. Why is it so ? The truly only regular side is Bayern. In the EPL, Serie A and Liga, you are guaranteed to have Manu, Arsenal, Liverpool, Inter, Juventus, Milan, Barça, Valencia and Madrid in the top 5, if not the top 3.
