Strongly agree with this. I have been working up the effort to start following a totally new league to me and learning all about it. Something like Poland or the Indonesian premier League. The problem is finding a league that has a lot of televised of recorded games.

It's only this year I've taken a keen interest in the German league and specifically other teams. Madrid, Barca and the Italian giants were always interesting but I've started following the leagues as a whole.

I'd like to have a German team or an Italian team to root for so I actually have a reason to watch a different league. Hard to choose this season though for both leagues. I got Dortmund on that Bundesliga flow chart lol, a Serie A team would probably be best since they generally start later than the PL.

I follow Juve in Serie A because of Del Piero.

He's such a legend.

^ :( :( :(

The first goal is one my favourite goals ever.
I picked all the best teams! Roma are so inconsistent this season. I can't decide whether they were great against Inter or Inter were awful.

And Bilbao UGHHH they're so awesome to watch.

I can't really answer that objectively

Fernando Llorente is special!

Hoky smokes! Pretty much all of the games in the next Europa league leg look pretty damn awesome

Round of 16 lineup
AZ Alkmaar v Udinese Calcio
Club Atlético de Madrid v Beşiktaş JK
FC Metalist Kharkiv v Olympiacos FC
FC Twente v FC Schalke 04
Manchester United FC v Athletic Club
R. Standard de Liège v Hannover 96
Sporting Clube de Portugal v Manchester City FC
Valencia CF v PSV Eindhoven

It gives United a good chance to see Muniain and Martinez in action. Either of them would be great for us. Especially Martinez.

When Delpo retires will he be remembered as one of the all time great Italian players. Is he regarded like Zoff, Maldini and Baresi?

I LOVE Arab commentary. Got a few Arab friends so when we play FIFA they spout this stuff, awesome.

There is only one "Delpo".

let me put it to you this way, as a milan fan. i fucking despise juve and everything they stand for . . . but i love alex, he is a legend. dude gets universal respect, for good reason, and will always be remembered.

Del Piero has offers from multiple european teams (italians, french) right?
I want him to join a MLS side so I can go and watch him :p

I don't understand this mentality. how is supporting dortmund or anyother team better than supporting schalke. they're play some good football and are not more or less sympathetic than dortmund.
Indeed, you don't understand :)

Nothing in Nordrhein-Westfalen seems pretty... lost. From Koblenz to Paderborn, everything you see is an endless sea of junctions, buildings, crossroads, airports, warehouses on the side of road and traffic jam everywhere, every two meters.

Calling Gelsenkirchen "lost" is like saying that New York is the 101st city of the US.
Well it's small ass town between Dortmund, Essen and the whole Dusseldorf area. Of course it's not uncharted territory, but there's absolutely nothing there. No airport, no metro, no university, no nothing. Their city center is a ghost town most of the time because the people have to go to other cities for shopping, entertainment and whatever. Look at this smog infested pile of shit:

If it wasn't for Leverkusen (aka. Neverkusen) they'd be second to none at failing to win the league. Their last league championship is from 1958.
Their current team budget is heavily leveraged and they move at the brink of bankruptcy for almost a decade now. We were also almost broke, but managed to undergo reforms and came out stronger than ever (in terms of financial background and such).
Their sponsor is Putin's shady Gazprom.
Their players don't seem to ever be vetted for their character and are very often assholes. Off the top of my head: the lying pos Oliver Held:

And you must have heard about Jermaine Jones, right?

PHANTAST2K LEAVE HIM ALONE

You glorious Icelander, you can support any team you want.
But I also like Juve ;(

Ok, I'll make the case for Dortmund.
First, indulge in the atmosphere at our holiest of sites:

Then take a look at our hottest players atm:

Milan are our greatest frienemies, just a healthy rivalry on our part.

But I also like Juve ;(

And I like BVB too ;)

I'm sure he's going to the MLS next season!

Dortmund campaign

Oh man trust me I know Dortmund they have several targets I want United to get =P

But really, I love that atmosphere I remember last year with all the videos you fans were posting here. Incredible, stadium shaking, in unison chanting and celebrating, top notch.

The only thing I'd be concerned about is the constant fear of good players leaving for other teams... But Goetze seems to be trying to change that philosophy....

Definitely! Simply being the symbol of Juve guarantees him that.

Baggio is a legend even though he almost won nothing in his career. (1 league title and a Ballon d'Or)

Del Piero really is one of the legends of the game <3

Is Totti regarded the same way in Italy.

I think he's a great player but I don't think he gets the same amount of admiration as Del Piero.

No one is as much of a legend as Baresi. >:

Gaetano Scirea is so legendary they named the street leading to our stadium after him.

Italian football won't see any more one-club men any time soon lol.

Marchisioooooooooooooooooo

lol totti is an epic cunt. he is a great player indeed but he is not likeable enough or, quite frankly, professional enough for legendary status, in comparison to the maldinis and del pieros.

totti is how i imagine (hope) balotelli to be when he is a seasoned veteran.

I see in the FIFA update they added in Scholes with his character model/commentary lines. Also De Gea is the sub keeper now lol.

I'm finding it somewhat easy to credit the Fergie ultimatum (you want to be a part of this club or you don't) explanation for Pogba being left out.

He's definitely up there, yes. Although I'm sure a few years will have to pass by for hardcore Inter, Milan, Roma, etc. fans to fully acknowledge it. As far as Juventus aficionados go, well ... I get teary-eyed every time I think about how incredibly sad I'll be this may in Turin, at his last match in bianconero. It's going to be fucking brutal for the people attending. Tears will flow, manly and womanly. There's never been someone quite like him, not even when it comes to absolute Juve legends like Boniperti, Scirea, Bettega and Platini. Capitanooo!

If only the goddamn knee injury had never happened, sigh. He's been amazing ever since, but never the same. And for what's worth - not much, really - I still can't believe fucking MATTHIAS SUMMER won the Ballon d'Or in '96 over Alex. What a disgrace that was.

That's pretty much my opinion of Totti. I was curious as to what full time followers as the Serie A thought.

He has 6 runner up medals for the league too. You can't get much more unlucky that that.
