Because all those guys are so old... it'd be hard to move any of them. Most win-now teams aren't in the position where they can offer much.

Rondo needs to get some people to run with him. While JJJ and Wilcox have been doing that when playing with him they're not the type of players to bank your team on. I can't see anyone taking on KG for the remainder of the year even if he is still one of the best defenders in the league.
I could see a lot of teams wanting Allen, but doubt you can get anything worthwhile from him. He's pretty much a spot up shooter now.
I just worry that the C's will have all this capspace and won't get a marquee FA. Who is the biggest FA signing the Celtics have had in their history? Yea pretty much no one. Everyone on this team that was worth a damn -ever- has come here via draft or trade.

He isn't exclusively yet, but he is starting to turn that way. I mean is still in great shape and can run around all those screens, but he has been struggling at creating his own shots this year compared to years last.

Oh definitely. But some of that can be attributed to the lack of other offensive threats around him. Ray hasn't been the kind of guy that can go out and will 20 points onto the board for a long time. The fact that Pierce and KG have lost a step, and everyone else sucks, makes those deficiencies show again.
If Ray was on the Bulls or Clippers though... pleased Based God. Just bless us.

Yea Ray would help either of those teams a lot.
It seems Doc always wants to get Ray involved and it seems more recently that the team starts to get stagnant when this happens. The rest of the guys on the court are just moving around while waiting for Ray to get open from running around the various screens and what not. Everyone knows what's going on- Rondo dribbles the ball until Ray finishes running his marathon and he can pass it to him in his spot. It really hurts the rest of the team when they continuously try to do this.

I don't necessarily get the cold weather thing. When it's winter you're in the middle of the season and traveling all the time and playing games night in and out. When it's the summer it's the off-season and you can go live where ever you want.
I've lived in New England my whole life as well, and I don't see the racism that much personally, but I did grow up in a very diverse town so I don't that was an issue for me.
But of the 4 major Boston teams I'd say that the Red Sox were the only notoriously racist team, Yawkey was a huge known racist.
As for the Celtics, Red drafted the first african-american player in 1950.
Bill Russell was the first african-american coach in any sport and first to win a championship.

If the Hornets gave up anything more than a second round pick along with Kaman for Rondo I'd be livid.

In Byron's defense, unless you're a top 5 drafted PG that your organization wants as the face of the franchise, Byron Scott won't play rookies regularly for about 3 years. It goes veterans > over the hill veterans > garbage bench veterans > rookies.
