@shidoshi, that's an incredible stick.

The details on it, included the "1 Play" sticker add a level of detail not often seen in custom sticks. I love the "1 Play" sticker...

Nice work!!

I did not contact him but I'm guessing he will chime in.

Would you like me to drop him a PM if you didn't already? I imagine MarkMan has got to be mad busy with Cross Assault stuff currently he might not know that you were looking for him to pick winner(s).

BTW, great stick Shidoshi. Usually not a fan of something so busy visually, but it fits really well with your stick given the overall theme. Also I have those same transparent blue Seimitsus in my custom stick, I just love how they look.

Here it is, my latest custom mod: "Poison Has a Stick".

Yes, notworksafe beat me to the punch, but I still attest to the fact that I hadn't seen his stick before coming up with this idea. I hadn't originally planned to go all Seimitsu with this one, but now I'm glad I decided to in terms of ascetics. I mean—you just can't not laugh at the use of the pink joystick in relation to the entire idea that's going on here.

My one thing as of this moment is I'm not super-hot on the pink joystick base cover, as it ruins the fun/polish of the stick by being able to see the plate hole. The default black cover I have has a hole too small for this Seimitsu, so I might try to see if I can find a replacement or drill out the one I currently have. That, or maybe I'll grow to love the pink one.

(Oh, and the line in the second shot is just a stray somethingoranother, not an actual crease in the label as it looks.)

Looks hot, man. How do you like that LS-58?

Literally just got the parts earlier today, so haven't even tried it out yet. It's going to be interesting to see the difference between my all-Sanwa previous mod and this all-Seimitsu mod. Should be a nice learning experience.

Very nice looking stick, shidoshi! Very nice colors and I dig the engrish on the bottom, very funny!

If you're looking for a clear dustwasher, I got mine from Art at tek-innovations.com. I paired one of those with a red/pinkish dustwasher under the top of the stick (so you can see a bit peeking out when looking at it from the top) and it looks great.

OMG, I want this stick.

Sadly gone from ebay now.

That is fucking amazing.

the little kids playing SF4 dressed like Chun and Ryu.

Regardless who wins, they won my heart. I havent seen a pick that made me go "DAWWWWWWWWWWWW SO CUTE" like that in a long time.

I can't get the balltop off of my madcatz SE, lol. I think i screwed it/stipped the inside of the screw

are there any ways to like remove the stick with the balltop on?

There isn't a way to remove the lever without unscrewing the ball top, no.

If worse comes to worst crack the shaft cover at take it off, then clamp the shaft in place with pliers and twist the ball top off.

Can anyone find a good place with the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT-SK in stock?

I tried one place and it went to backorder after a week.

Need something with a tracking number and fast shipping at a price that isn't crazy.

Itching to play because my stick is too bad.

New game (SFxT), new stick

Was wondering how the new MC stick compares to the Hori VX SA, build wise? They look strikingly similar and the Hori is a bit cheaper.

If I were to go with the Hori, is it easy to mod? I might want to swap the layout to the MC one and probably replace the sticker, put a plexi etc.

there was absolutely no way that top was coming off, i stripped it pretty bad. I ended up dismantling the old madcatz pseudo jlf completely and pulling it out through the other way. This was a massive pain in the ass and the old part is unusable but the end result was worth it IMO

here's the finished product, anyway

So, I called videogamesnewyork.com to make sure the JLF was in stock online, but he said he couldn't check the online stock... but they give the store number on the website to contact them. Doesn't make sense to me.

I really don't want to deal with a backorder and refund again. :(

focusattack.com's https isn't secure at checkout?

that's how I got a fraudulent charge with a tv part website earlier this year.

I've used Focus Attack myself, and the only problem I had is that my product took longer than expected to arrive. I am 99% sure that was USPS' fault and not FA's, though.

The guy who owns Focus Attack, Jaleel Beck, is a nice guy who responds to support emails really quickly. I haven't heard of anyone getting ripped off by him. When my stick didn't arrive on time he was willing to ship me another stick free of charge.

Hi.
I'm a total noob in stick modding, but I have a MadCatz Tournament Edition arcade stick and I would like to mod it. Most of the tutorial URLs in the first post are dead, so please forgive-me for my stupid questions.
1/What are the compatible sticks and buttons models with this?
2/How do I proceed to change the artwork?
Thanks in advance.

Any 30mm buttons from Sanwa or Seimitsu are direct swaps for the TE's buttons. (The TE comes with Sanwas.) Buttons come in either snap-in or screw-in (with a plastic nut on the bottom), and both will work fine in a TE.

As for joysticks, again, you can mount most Sanwa and Seimitsu sticks in a TE, though you may have to make adjustments to make sure the stick is oriented the right way. (This is particularly true for Seimitsu's sticks, in my experience.) The TE uses a Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT-SK, though if you'd just like to change the color or style of the balltop, or switch to a bat-top like American-style sticks, you can purchase those separately and swap them on without replacing the entire thing.

Switching the art on your stick usually requires removing the buttons & stick from your controller, removing the panel they attach to from the controller and using it as a guide to cut button/stick holes in the art you've printed, and then sandwiching your new art between the old metal panel and a new plastic top panel. It's somewhat time-consuming and more expensive done this way, but your art will stay in good condition much longer than if you just glued it directly onto the old panel with no protection. Art's Hobbies can make you an extra plastic panel & even print and cut your art for you; all you've got to do is prepare a pretty design in your image editing program of choice with one of their provided templates.

recently (this weekend) picked up a WWE All-Stars fightstick at a gamestop not so near me, and got all excited to mod it with some seimitsu parts, as I understand they're the go-to for shmups...and here I was blaming all my bad play in Ikaruga on a JLF as me being rusty!

I wanted to put together some custom art for it, although I'm horrendous at anything artistic, but I cobbled together an Ikaruga themed background and even though I'm not 100% happy with it I decided I'd try taking it to kinkos and getting it printed/laminated. The printer didn't print it properly, and it was too small on all sides. Is there a way to get it to print full bleed on a regular 8.5x11 page and go from there? Do I go full service and see if they can do it? I'm probably going to redesign the art to go onto the stick before I try this again, and I haven't even ordered the parts off FocusAttack yet, but I'm curious as to how people usually go about getting the art done up at their local kinkos. I asked for a Lami-Label and the clerk looked at me like I was an alien.

I hope its not considered "bad form" to take inspiration from somebody else's ideas, but I liked Shidoshi's Poison stick so much that I took to photoshop to make something similar:
PoisonVER2-1.jpg

I was working on a new Poison stick anyway (my old one looked too bare-bones) and thought I'd follow his lead.

Not sure if I'm going to do anything more to it, or just leave it as it is. Suggestions welcome!

**edit**
Made a few changes that I think make it much more fleshed out. Still working on getting the blue "streaks" out of her legs and stomach though. Any tips?

I like that Poison pic, great choice. I might move it around to find a more fun position for it.

I'm not sure whether I should have my ps3 TE dual modded or just buy a Quanba.
The modication will cost roughly $110

What's the best option?
