I find it always baffling when people gush over Bleach
I find it baffling that mature people make such a pretentious and extremely arrogant sentence.
DP, damn.

I did reply and destroyed your hyperbole about the greatest wizards alive. There was no need for me to repeat myself.
One thing I've noticed with people who are big fans of Bleach is that they tend to have a huge priority in a few categories, namely:
1. Awesum battles
2. Cool poses
4. "cool" characters being the focus.
Heck, it took every single Straw Hat executing a page-spread super move for people to shout "ARC REDEEMED!", just some cool poses and badass attacks, nothing of story significance.
I'd like to think that people who super duper love Bleach the most ever forever see "too much story" as extra baggage that ruins their clean, fun shonen battle experience. It's not a coincidence that these same people tend to complain about how crowded One Piece chapters are. How can you dedicate half your pages to badass fighting poses when there's so much plot and story on each page.
No you didn't, you may think you did, but never did you disprove what I said.
Even if you did "destroy" that point, the fact that it had so little bearing on the point I was trying to make (do you even know what my point was?) means you bringing it up was utterly retarded.
Your ability to completely miss the point is astounding.
Yep this is pretty spot on with how I feel, however I do think Bleach's setting is involving, unique, and interesting. The problem is that there's so much little of it and Bleach is 80% of the time about battles rather than actual narrative, while in One Piece the battles are saved till it's important for the story to show them and result in having battles 30% of the time in the manga. Hell there's arcs in OP where battles barely occur like Fishman Island and Drum Island where the main focus was the story/adventure, while even the ones with a lot of fighting have story and weight to them. Though I would like to note that Fishman Island becoming "awesome" wasn't necessarily because of the fights it got towards the end, it was because the arc was badly paced and needed to be shake up a little bit.*snip*
The three things that make for an awesome manga.
Well that was the best moment of the arc, hopefully Oda does that more often as it is completely unforgettable, there wasnt even any nice battles in the flashback in fishman island either. It was litrally heavy world building with no reward in the way of gripping suspense, action, and nice art.
Some people? More like most. I wouldn't enjoy One Piece if it's setting didn't exist. Why would Oda change the way he is doing his manga plus some people like world building .
Maybe if sales were poor he might change up stuff but there is no need.
FI arc was after the time skip allot people wanted to see new powers , find out info and jump into the NW ,FI arc seem to long for them.
I can see where you're coming from Neorice, it's just something I could never relate to. Cool poses and awesome fights to me are just supporting elements of a manga. Plot, character interaction, sense of adventure and mystery etc. are much more important to me. That's why I can forgive the lack of "smart" fights in One Piece or the scribbles in HxH. Bleach has none of that. It's just sadly wasted potential because Kubo can't follow a concept to its end.

The arc seem to long for them or was pace badly , truth is after reading it back it was much better but still slow .

Why? well, if he sees what other manga are doing and it produces good results he ought to take inspiration from them and emulate them. Perhaps I entered One Piece at the wrong time, but there didnt seem to be much world building going on during the Impel Down-->War of the Best. World building honestly feels very boring and I struggle to stay attentive to it in a chapter, thats like something that should be left to a databook or something, battle manga ought to be lots of battles. I like to be amazed by the poses and quickly turn the pages to see new attacks and set pieces getting destroyed, and nice attack names and such with my favorite characters. They should have led an assault on MHQ and the World Government immediately once coming together, which would have gave us new powers and a sprinkling of new info.
It's really a clusterfuck of a manga but I actually don't think it is one to drop. I can't stand the character count/coverage and I have read some of the worst chapters in Negima then any manga (that random group date ch...wtf). But the action can be entertaining, the power-ups are usually not just +1 type stuff, and some of the female characters are enjoyable despite there being way too many who get attention. It at least doesn't piss you off as much as other series. And can't get too serious about the romance cause the kid is fucking 10. Evangeline is the correct answer regardless.I stopped reading negima when the first chao shenanigans began. Maybe I should pick it up again.

So he still that young at the end of the Manga ??
Bleach has the best and most realistic character interaction of the big 3. And saying Bleach does not have mystery is a utter bullshit.
There's a difference between realistic and enjoyable or meaningful.
For all the bullshit Naruto gets, the interactions he has with the characters actually have a lot of bearing on the story. And then there's Beelzebub, One Piece, Gintama etc. that have extremely funny dialogue between the characters. It might not be realistic but most of the time it fits the tone of the manga.
I get no thrills from Ichigo and Ishida quarreling. Or Orihime being a clumsy dumbass. You might enjoy it but I do not.
The only fun thing ever to stem from Bleach was Ichigo and Rukia or Ichigo and his father in the first arc. Everything else after that was just Kubo trying to drown his readers in the annoying arrogance of his trolling side-characters and villains. At least Byakuya is a legitimate badass.
Also since I was replying to Neorice, I already explained earlier that the "mystery" in Bleach is just very uninteresting to me. I don't keep reading because I absolutely need to know what happened to Grimmjow and the other surviving Espada or what the deal with the Quincies is, I'm just tagging along to see this series to its end.

I did destroy your argument about the greatest wizards alive. And secondly you completely ignored that Yajima was a commentator not a judge like you claimed. Yet another ignorant statement.
You just contradicted yourself. You say Bleach is uninteresting but you're interested in Grimmjow, Qunicies et al.
Saying uninteresting and having none of that are too different things my friend![]()

How come Urahara never got an apology from/ returned to the Gotei 13 ?
He was forced to flee from those fools and then was one of the ones who saved their bacon vs Aizen

You´re so full of it. You said that in your previous post. And now you are trying to backtrack about what you said.I see that you're trying to pull the same thing you did with Maleficence where you pick something entirely irrelevant and try to fabricate your "argument" around it. Let me just say that it won't work. As far as I'm concerned, it might not exist at all.
Read my comment again. I said that those weren't the reasons why I'm still reading it.
That was never my argument, don't ascribe a position to me I never had. Them being the greatest wizards alive or simply very strong (or do you also want to argue that?) makes no difference.
Again, you're amazing at missing the point.
Yajima being a commentator and not a judge was indeed incorrect, but again, it has little to do with the point I was making. Do you have a degree in missing the point and making tangential arguments?
Individual aspects can be interesting even if overall it is uninteresting due to the way these individual elements come together.
This Fairy Tail tournament is going to piss me off the same way the Yu Yu Hakusho tournament did didn't? Blatant disregard for the rules when they go against the main characters, seriously this is fucking bullshit and it pisses me off no end when they pull this cheap crap.
Huge magic tournament with the greatest wizards alive participating and they let shit like this slide? Makes no fucking sense.
Because Urahara and Yoruichi love their freedo. If Urahara came back he has to abide by gotei 13 orders. Not returning means that he wants his freedom. We saw Yoruichi in TBTP arc, and how relax she is in being a captain. Not returning will give freedom to do what she wants without any responsibility. That´s what i find it logical on this issue. How come Urahara never got an apology from/ returned to the Gotei 13 ?

Didnt he? Or was that anime only, they had to consult with him to make the sword/

Like hell it was not.
Holly shit, you even said the greatest wizards alive are participating. Take responsibility for your own words.
Just because I say something, does not make it the main point I am trying to make.
How thick is your skull that that can't get through?
My main point was that they should have more control and observation over outside interference and cheating!
I was using the strength of the participants as a way to support that they should have this control in place, but it was in support of my main point, it was not the main point in itself!
God lord you're a dumbass.
We saw that in TBTP arc.I'd love to see some interactions between Urahara/Tessai /Yoruichi and the 13 squads, especially Urahara and Kurotsuchi.
You´re so full of it. You said that in your previous post. And now you are trying to backtrack about what you said.
BTW lol @ random power ups in your comment. That´s one piece shtick.
Yajima, Makarov and Mavis have noticed the cheating. So the greatest at the stadium have actually noticed the cheating, which makes your whole point worthless.
Secondly it seems that only very high level wizards can notice this kind of magic since Erza, Laxus and everyone else besides Makarov, Mavis, Raven Tail and Yajima, have not noticed it.
We saw that in TBTP arc.
I'm just going to point this out, but powers should never have to be explained in a story that utilizes them outside of telling us the origin of them and/or where it comes from. Outside of that, it's free reign, and making it a logical progression on illogical powers is usually complete shit unless it's done so acutely perfectly and unique that it brings you by surprise. Like in Naruto, for example, we get full on technical explanations to how chakra power works, which is only a detriment to the powers themselves as it just shows Kishimoto is inserting fluff that is irrelevant to the entire manga itself. Bleach doesn't have much problems with this, similar to One Piece, but I'll get onto that later...BTW lol @ random power ups in your comment. That´s one piece shtick.
Only Beam, mysticwhip, and Angry Grimace are really prone to insulting people, but everyone puts the blame on me for the "drama" in this thread.Does this thread have some privilege on using blatant insults? I think we hear every possible derogatory comment about someone every week. This is easily the angriest thread on gaf that I know of.

the Gotei 13 didn't banish him, that council did. [and they were all dead when he came back anyway]How come Urahara never got an apology from/ returned to the Gotei 13 ?
I guess that´s what happens when Maleficence loses an argument. He just uses for personal insults.
I noticed just now, but the previous "chapter 1" was actually 00 and today's chapter is 1. So uh, I kinda messed up!TLR Darkness 2

I'm proud to announce the addition of a new, previously undiscovered, CATEGORY of fanservice. It's truly innovative.

God I love this thread!! but come on guys Bleach is nowhere near good enough to be arguing over.
It would be like starting a huge argument over To Love Ru.
Its just Beam being the one man defense force as usual.
@ Bold: Plus IIRC that already happened at some point
Well it takes more than one person to argue :/
You guys all read terrible manga and should feel bad about yourselves.

I'm out of touch though. Only listened to what would be my OG hip-hop, Pac, Wu, Biggie, etc... Don't really get the new shit which seems to be all bling or club. You should visit the Hip-Hop thread from time to time, just be ready to be called a cocksucker. It's all love though.
You read the latest aunt grope yet?You guys all read terrible manga and should feel bad about yourselves.
If you're talking about me, I personally was discussing Bleach with Neoriceisgood when PV/Beam barged in and I'm not someone who ignores people that easily. It's nice to know though, that there are more posters in this thread not worth replying to.
I'll read a girl by the see to verify your credibility.
