More velvet room parts, the long nosed song was funny. I liked how we had development of the characters. Interaction among the main cast is always good, really enjoyed Kanji Yosukes Teddie parts. Oh and Naoto has the best voice, and personality among the female cast, precious. Hopefully shes playable party member in the game (yu, yosuke, kanji, naoto, I hope).

Naoto is playable, but unless you like to deal with Instant Death spells she's pretty useless. (Almighty Spells are MEH people. The only time you would ever use those is when the enemy is resistant to everything fucking else, which is never.)

She's pretty good for random encounters where you can just Hama or Mudo everything. She's pretty crap for bosses of course, since all she can usually do on them is Tempest Slash/Vorpal Blade or MIND CHARGE Megidolaon. I still used her though.

Her uselessness against bosses isn't a small thing though. Anyone is effective against random encounters because there is an element of relative ease to them and/or the MC can take care of Hama/Mudo'ing everything at that late stage anyway.

She's only someone you bring along if you really like her character. I can't talk though, I tend to bring along both Chie and Kanji, rather than one or the other, for that very reason.

Yeah, she's in there. More of a Insta-Death person, useful for enemy mobs (not so much against bosses).

She wasn't on my main gang, but I do like the character.

Mirai Nikki 20: Some weird transitions in this episode. Two of the characters were inside a building in this episode, then a shot of something happened and immediately after they were atop a hill. Also, I wish I had some gif skills. There's this funny moment where these two people are running side by side and Minene only has the key frames of her animation, making her move like an Atari-era video game sprite while her partner has full range of motion.

Sad about the censoring. What should have been a disturbing scene looked comical because of it.

Honest: I pressed triangle during most random encounters and did just fine, as long as you are not stupid enough to don any Personae with Light or Dark weaknesses.

I'm pretty sure alot of the discussion over there is with the JUMP stuff. AnimeGAF is kinda different in that we have alot of members who don't care for the mainstream shounen stuff and they've been able to shape the discussion.

Well, I guess Milky Holmes just isn't suited for me, since I thought first episode was easily the worst.

I've said it before, but the first and second episodes are the worst two of the franchise so far.

I thought the farm episode was quite good (basically Milky Holmes in a nutshell and as such a good reintroduction for a second season). The second episode seemed unnecessary.
However the third episode was everything that makes this show outstanding.


Edit: I might be biased since the first season was one of my favorites in 2010 (behind Tatami Galaxy and hmmm I really have not watched much from that year).

The first season was great, though I was one of the only people on GAF then who watched it; most everyone else wrote it off before it started and really didn't even give it a chance, unfortunately.

This season, though, is not as good so far. Those first two episodes just don't match up. The third ep was good, but 4 was again a bit weaker... probably better than 1 or 2, but not equal to 3. I find the "they've pretty much forgotten about being detectives" plotline annoying, they weren't like that at the end of the last season...

Muteki Kanban Musume 1

This is it. This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. A hot-blooded female protagonist turning a mundane setting into FUCKAWESOME.

Miki is the kind of character that is seriously underused in anime. Well I guess you could say the trope itself isn't underused, but it is rarely applied to her gender and executed so perfectly. While the premise may not be the perfect fit for an idiot female shounen protagonist, it definitely works.

And then we got Megumi, who is equally as hot-blooded and awesome. The story regarding the chalk-throwing training just kept escalating in such a way that it all culminated into one hilarious absurdist scenario.

My only concern so far is it seems to be rather episodic. Should be fine though. At least this is a start.

I'll be honest and admit I've only skimmed a majority of the thread (because 72 pages goddamn) so it could just be a case of the grass seeming greener. The discussions and arguments do seem more fun despite if it gets heated. There certainly seems to be less vitriol. Of course my opinion could just be a little colored because of how the last couple of arguments in the manga thread have gone.

True, the majority of Mangaf is plenty happy but it just seems less fun if that makes any sense. Maybe because the group over appears to be more tightknit or something? Maybe it's probably because I had one too many sangrias to drink tonight.

We've already convinced a few people to read Wolf Guy. It's like twilight but with rape. That author definitely has some issues.

Well there is always plenty of HxH, TWGOK, Beelzebub, Nurarihyon no Magi, and occasionally Silver Spoon talk when those chapters are released, but I won't deny that the big 3 dominate. Especially during any down time.

I appreciate the offer, but I always just end up reading something whenever I have free time. I do watch some stuff every now and then though like Utena (since animegaf recommended it to me before) and the 2nd season on Kimi no Todoke (my guiltiest of pleasures).
