I'm in a severe need for action and haven't found anything recent-ish that scratched the itch more than the teased fight in episode three's preview [and the "saved for Kizumonogatari" clips from Bakemo]. I should know better by now, but dammit those clips were awesome looking :(

:lol

Agreed. That episode was probably the best in the show, watching Nanami go beast mode on the bug-squad was a lot of fun.

The action in the Nanami fight was one of the best in the whole show. Its my favorite episode and I legit tell people that they should stop after that one because it doesn't ever get any better.

G-Gundam 8

The show continues to surprise me. Domon was surprisingly sensitive and it was probably good for him to see the end road of wanting nothing but revenge. Enjoying how everyone toes the line between character and caricature too.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica 2

I enjoyed this episode far more. Things seem to be a bit more clear as far as the story goes and...

Why is Lord Humongous here?

Blood-C 8

Episode felt like a return to form. I can't help but feel this would be better uncensored too as that would be a full embrace of the shock value rather than what we get.

CLAMP?

Shin Mazinger Z 2

Dat narrator. I'm impressed by the sense of scale demonstrated in the second half of the episode. They may have looked goofy but the enemy machines still had a great imposing presence.

Not sure what Boss was thinking. You don't pick fights with a guy that can pull this face off.

Looks like the Pac-Man anime is going to be a "big deal" for Bandai Namco. This is really kinda weird and fucked up. They're going full steam ahead with a 26 episode full season of a Pac Man CG animation series for 2013. The show will have an insane budget of 600,000 USD per episode. Avi Arad is the adviser for Bandai Namco Holdings on this project, while the show's producer is Rick Ungar, and the writers on the show are Tom Ruegger and Paul Rugg.

Why? Why is this happening? What is possessing them??

What the shit is this..................

Katanagatari 3 & 4

3 - I don't know why but I felt bad for the Priestess when all was said and done.

4 - *Hyped out the ass after watching Episode 3's preview*
*watches the actual episode*
*MANTIS, BUTTERFLY, BEE*

...

Well fuck me, I got super trolled coming from the preview off episode 3. :(

At the same time though, Shichika's sis is broken as fuck. That's some Medaka level of shit right there. :lol

Edit: Waaaaat @ that Pac-Man anime and it's details.
I did it, I did it! I got another one! I bet you even rewound it and was like, "Did he just cut a shark in half and split the ocean like Moses only to fight in it as the waves come crashing down from the point he cut it from?"

P4:1-2

That wasn't bad at all. I swear I'm hearing a new theme or two along with a heap of ones straight from the game, which actually hit me kind of hard. The fanservice is strong with this one. Shit will go down once Signs of Love plays. Also, day Lotus Juice ed, good but so bad.
Oh for sure. It's just when looking at it from an anime perspective it's slow, but from a game-loving fanservice standpoint (which I loved P4) it hits all the spots oh so good. You'll really love how they handle social links in this, and to me they're some of the best episodes so far and really well done.

Soredemo 10

Whoa,
an alien AND a ghost story rolled into one episode.
Amazing!
The part where it's revealed that the old man seen in past episodes was not only a ghost but Uki's late husband was both heartwarming and quite the tearjerker. ;_;

It should be a crime that show this incredible didn't sell well.

wow, something even more batshit insane than the zelda timeline

lord humongous is mai husubando

I think Namco's thought process is something like this:

Popular worldwide mascot brand

+

High budget modern technology medium

+

Staff who have made successful cartoons in the past

=

SUPER SUCCESS!

I see the reasoning, but it's going to faaaaaaaaaaaaail.

So yeah, this is fun enough to watch so far. Also one of the characters practices kyudo which is pretty cool. Miniboss trio is nowhere near as cool as the Heartcatch guys, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

Gee, I wonder when that bad energy meter is going to be completely filled. Maybe, oh, around episode 22 or so.

Moretsu Pirates - 2 & 3

It's moving really slow but I don't think it's as bad as some of the reactions here paint it to be. Episode 2 was totally forgettable but I thought episode 3 wasn't too bad. They did a good job of portraying how incredible it is to step into space for your first time.

Having Hanazawa helps too. Those glasses and dat voice, man.

PapaKiki 8

The landlord woman has gone from someone I hate to someone I like in the space of one episode. Nice!

She's just so mo- HNNNNNNnnnnnnnnnNNNNG

Yes, Pirates is slow, but not boring, which makes a huge difference.

woo blasted through season 1 of Milky Holmes!

WTF IS GOING ON IN SEASON 2? It's like the cut the chains of sanity. My brain is doing cart wheels!

And why are there some really good animation sequences in this show? It's like inception levels of ... trolling? No clue. I assume those people are having a blast making this.

Still not as crazy as finding out the Starfox characters are amputees with robotic legs.

O_O

I have a feeling this show is going to live or die by the character interactions, which is hard to gauge at the moment because it's in the introductory stage, as I mentioned before there was also enough self awareness to their sitation to which could also carry the show if done well.

...

how the heck is this possible?

The worse part is that they could probably fund every single sequel to every series I've never wanted to end with that.

It isn't bad if you get to watch it consecutively, but watching that week by week makes it feel horribly paced. It took 5 weeks for anything significant to even happen.

Bodacious Pirates is a good show with a big drawback: Omigawa.
Though I must admit, before I read on here that she was in the show, I was simply thinking "man, this girl's voice sometimes becomes as annoying as Omigawa's, but it can't be that she's in this one ruining it" and then I found out the truth =(((

Yet another blasphemer and heretic who does not accept the Goddess Omigawa. :(

To be fair she only really started talking in the last 2 episodes, but by god did she say alot when her character started talking.

Bakemonogatari 9

The first 15 minutes of the episode were alright. Kinda slow going, but whatever. I like the way that Hanekawa is being developed. I'll probably like her less once they tell me her life story.

But then it's like, why? She's in middle school. And then they have an entire goddamn conversation while she's cupping her tits in the background. I never asked for this. There is no reason to do this, Shaft.

I just... this show... it... ugh.

Oh you know very well that there was a very good reason for Shaft to do this, and they're just amoral enough to take advantage wihout a second thought.

Oh man I wanna see he reaction to episode 10

I think we all know the reason.

Yeah, the fanservice carries it so hard. I had the feeling it would help, but I didn't think it'd be THIS good, lol. Really enjoying myself with the show.

Yeah, I've kind of been wondering why
the clock doesn't go back down when they defeat the Akanbe
. I suppose it's that the
dark energy
is harvested the second that
the villain initiates a Bad End
and the Cures are really just
stopping the Akanbe from going on a rampage after the villain has the dark energy
.

I guess shit really gets real when Pierrot is summoned. Shame that this series doesn't even have the flimsy illusion of the Cures being able to prevent the big bad from being summoned/revived like in past Precure series, hah.

I don't think they'll be in "deep shit", it'll just be a hilarious waste of money. If the entire thng makes zero dollars back, it's just a 16 million dollar loss. For a huge worldwide game publisher, that's chump change!

It still amazes me that anyone in their right mind would fund such a project - I don't really think it makes any kind of sense.
And that was in 2010. Somehow, 2 years later, not only is the same guy still in charge of the project, but it's actually getting a huge budget and targeting a worldwide audience. The people writing the checks REALLY believe they have a winner here!

Someone is seriously crazy at Bandai.
