You're only as valuable as what someone's willing to pay you. Can you blame him for following the money? Most guys, especially elite players, only have a few years to cash in. I know it sucks cause it directly affects your team, but if someone is willing to outspend you...that's just the breaks.

I think you are misunderstanding me, I could honestly care less if he leaves. We had the #2 defense in the league last year without him for 3/4's of the season. Our two starting outside linebackers, Barwin and Reed, are even YOUNGER than Mario is and the both have tons of upside. We get some depth in the draft and FA we are good to go.

I do get a little excited at Wade's comments that if they can resign Mario he would work some schemes to get Barwin, Reed and Mario all on the field at the same time going after the QB at one time. I just dont think it will will hurt any if at all. Then we have JJ Watt and Anotonio Smith coming on the inside. Not to mention Cushing and Demeco Ryans blitzing...damn our defense makes me hard!

Our Guards are actually pretty decent, its just Levi the Human Turnstile Brown that drags the quality of the line down. I think it'll be OLB or T but Upshaw's combine numbers were a bit off, seems like hes a bit of a tweener OLB/DE and might be better suited to a 4-3 defense.

Hadnot is alright but not good enough to say we're set in that position. They couldn't even decide between him in Lutui and quite frankly, Lutui is better when his fat ass is in shape enough to play. He still seems to be in the doghouse and I just think the whole situation with the RG position in tenuous. DeCastro will have us set there for years. If you feel a player has a high probability of being a pro bowler...you have to take him. They will never get rid of Brown He showed improvement the last stretch of the season blah blah /contract. We'll see how he does this season, if he truly turned a corner or if it was just for the money. Ironic since he's taking a pay cut regardless.

Upshaw's descriptions are actually pretty similar to Woodley's when he was entering the combine. I'm not saying he'll be that level but the point is that you can't really go off of comments from 'pro' analysts. You either watched the kid play in college, or you take the word of friends or even familiars online that you tend to agree with in most instances.

Several factors. I grew up spoiled on Young niners. After Young and Rice were gone my interest really fell off, and the onset of giving a shit in general about Football waned. In highschool the football season coincided with my volleyball season, so I was usually spending time training/playing games. So in a way I replaced that competitiveness with my own. Now that I'm no longer in sports and gaming much less, I want to watch them again.

I look at my speed, and I'm thinking fuck you, if you want to go 90 or whatever get in the leftmost lane. Dude doesn't let up. So I go in the leftmost lane after a while. Dude then speeds up, passes me up and flips me off. Then he switches to in front of me, because I was already going at about max speed of that lane. And then he's stuck between me and a guy going 75 in front of him. I was incredibly pissed off until I saw his 49ers bumper. Typical scumbag Niners fan.
