|OT7| Barry subbed and 3 goals conceded

People are dicks. Everywhere today I see articles about how Barry should be dropped from England. Did they not see the match at all?! England went to shit when he LEFT the pitch. Sure they scored two but they STILL lost.

this is not a good post, barry is not very good.

So what happened to Kermit this time? I haven't been in here as much recently and hadn't even noticed he's gone.

got permabanned.

They have done well despite. Same for City.

But as I said yesterday, Barry is what makes Parker look so good, just like with De Jong in City. He's incredibly smart. Thanks to him Parker/De Jong can spend time lounging in tackles and going insane, since Barry always got their back. He limits the passing option for the attacker as well.

Sure, it's expensive to have him since he's not so capable offensively (good passer though). But as second half showed you can't win with just a good offense.

Doesn't work, Walcott is one of the first names on Arsenal's.

If Barry was that shit, Mancini would have replaced him or he wouldn't play him. If he didn't like him, he'd be out the door by now just like the others before him.

Barry does a job for City. That is evident. Also I bet he brings a bit to the team off the field too. Stuart Taylor ALWAYS travels with the City team, home and away. He never makes the bench, but Mancini has him there for his character and the experience he has.

IMO Gareth Barry is a very reliable, average player.

Ugh I remember this, but what club was it? Arsenal?

Inter.

Left: Can you win? Otherwise they'll make fun of me in school! Thanks, Filippo.
Right (Juve): Either change your school or change your team.

Hahaha, holy shit, just saw this:

Interview with West Ham's co-chairman about Demba Ba
ID: How did that work? Did we pay money to Hoffenheim?

DS: I’ll tell you exactly what happened. We wanted to loan him, but Hoffenheim said they wouldn’t loan him as they could get 6 million euros for him from Stoke. He then failed the medical at Stoke. I went back and asked to loan him again. Again they said no, but they would sell him to us. So we paid 500,000 euros down, which was almost like a loan fee, and then we’d pay 5 and a half million euros starting the next season depending on how many games he played – one level of payment in the Championship, one level of payment on the Premier League. I’ll have to make the figures up because I can’t remember, but something like 25,000 euros a game in the Premier League and 10,000 euros in the Championship. Demba Ba signed a three and a half year contract with us. We had a deal where his salary would be halved if we were relegated. He said, “Well on that basis, I have got to be allowed to walk if we get relegated”. What we should have said in retrospect – but none of us thought he would score so many goals – is that we’d be happy to give him £40 grand a week in the Championship. In the end I offered him £45 grand a week to stay but he wouldn’t take it. What we should have said was that if we don’t halve your salary, you haven’t got a get-out. The failure to put that one line in the contract cost us very, very dearly. As I say, he was on £35 grand a week and I offered him £45 grand a week to stay, but he went to Newcastle.

ID: So do Newcastle now have to pay to Hoffenheim the money you would have had to pay?

DS: No. That’s why Newcastle could always outbid us. It was our deal with Hoffenheim.

ID: So Hoffenheim got stuffed, then.

DS: Yup, they got half a million for him. This didn’t work for anyone except Demba Ba … and Newcastle.

Oh man, are they fucking retarded? You can't be that dumb...

Are the West Ham chairmens stupid? They keep giving out private details about Ba's Newcastle contract (previously release clause) and were warned about doing it again.

Taylor has played 69 league games according to wiki. O.o He's been a bench player for every team he's been at.

Nah. He's not awful, I exaggerate that. But there's no need for him in a City team with De Jong and Yaya. He's composed and can pick a pass but I don't think he's an effective enough defensive shield for a team at the top of the table.

Yeah, apparently we're going to lose Ba in the summer for £3.5m. Both guys are morons.
