Taylor has played 69 league games according to wiki. O.o He's been a bench player for every team he's been at.

I think he played once in City and he wasn't very good. City has learned the hard way to have three keepers though, had to loan one in the other year.

Who did we loan again. It wasn't last season but the season before when Hart was at Birmingham and Given got injured.

I remember him pulling off one top save.

Marton Fulop. Though we had our viking backup fit:

The thing about Barry, in my City experience, is that he balance shit up. When he's injured, City tend to play a lot more risky. Attack, defend, attack, defend. With him on City keep a lot more possession, he's like a freakin' firewall. His passing is easy but he always help out the wingers. In defense mode, as I said, he's fantastic in support to a DM.

With just De Jong and Parker on, the team does a lot of fabolous tackling but the ball often tends to get back to the opposition. That happens much less often with the firewall active.

do you know something we don't?

I meant in England, judging from yesterday's match mostly. I haven't thought about it much watching Tottenham. I guess Krancjar or Livermore does a similar job to Barry?
What about Thudd, where the hell has he been this year? Injured?

Trophy's are overrated, financial prudence and sustainability is the new Champions League.

I think the reason people say he's shit (he's not) is that he doesn't have any flashy moves, blistering pace, bullet-like shot i.e anything that can be show on replays to get people excited. He does all the shit work that is always needed, every club needs a player like Barry.
If we didn't have Song i'd take Barry in a heartbeat.

God no. He's like a walking black hole. Once he gets the ball everything around him get sucked into his slowness vortex.

Aren't all divers ASSASSINs to you? All City players are shit to us.

It was because Barry got red carded from a Spearing dive and a shoulder brush, that red card was completely ridiculous. I never said a diver was an assassin.

Exactly! Very good.

Barry is one of those players, like Lampard, where you don't notice on the pitch for the entire length of the game unless they happen to put the ball in the back of the net. Only Barry doesn't put the ball in the net.

It is amazing how few they've had. If they had had to field some of the dodgy XIs that Spurs and United have, I doubt they'd have as many points.

Maybe City put a lot of effort in physical fitness training in pre-season? Instead of learning a couple of dandy moves.

Hughes talked a lot about this (newspapers even wrote articles about the "fitness centre"), I guess Mancini built on it. For the last couple of years City has had very little injuries.

Nasri has been astoundingly average this season. I don't think DC or Manager can refute this. He isn't being derided on this thread for any other reason. He started off well for City but has been underperforming for the last 5 months.

For a £24 million player I expected an awful lot more from him. He's been almost as invisible as Tevez this season.

What the hell does that even mean? How the fuck can they all underperform?

Maybe City are just that good?

The best performance I've seen seen from any side this year, domestically and in Europe, was City's job at White Hart Lane at the beginning of the season. I was genuinely blown away by what I was witnessing and I can't remember the last time I saw a performance like that. It was better than the 5-0 drubbing Barcelona gave Real last year, for example. From the segments I've seen of City since then, however, I don't think they have reproduced that level of a performance.

Really? The league has been shit this year. All teams that usually were in the title race, are just fighting for 4th place.

Liverpool hasn't been involved for years. Arsenal have lost two very big players from last year. Chelsea were shit last year too. Really, they just aren't good enough. It's not about underperforming.

Surely Arsenal's youngsters can mature (lalala), but they aren't ready this year. As the results show. They never lie.

Maybe the other teams aren't underperforming but are just really shit this year.
I love Arsenal but we really dont deserve to be anywhere near the top 2 this year and if we didn't have RVP then we'd be closer to midtable mediocrity.
Chelsea are entering a new phase with AVB and are going through some growing pains, they'll be better for it in the long run (if they keep with AVB and not sack him asap)
Tottenham have been excellent but they don't have the experience to grind out and win over the course of an entire season just yet.
If the league was a cup competition then Liverpool might be relevant.

Oh ffs. Milner's shit

No

Barry's shit,

Very average

Richards,

No

Average

Off form but no, I really rate him

Probably the best defender in the league this season apart from Coloccini and King

So shit there's two of him

Talent wise he's great but puts no effort in whatsoever

all shit.Yet City are first?

Thankfully, Hart, Kompany, Yaya, Aguero, Dzeko, Balotelli and Savic are fantastic

And fuckin' Skrtel, Wilbury.
Btw, literally no one in this thread has said Richards was shut. Same with Lescott.
