It's good to get this list going, make sure those Giants bandwagoners don't claim to be lifelong Jets fans once we win the SB next season. With Manning RG3 leading us the SB is a total lock.
I'm surprised you didn't bandwagon the giants like you did with the rays in the mlb thread.

The Lin thing was dumb, but this is just harmless. I can't imagine it was intentional and is more funny in the Jay Leno silly headlines sort of way than a Klan after-rally way

edit: @beautiful memory. Asians women are known to operate massage parlors, and when one receives a "happy ending" to his massage, it means he was serviced sexually

Hines Ward is also half korean, and that's how the Asian reference is relevant.

Add me to the list of Giant life longs.

Favorite Player

NO. 27 Ro
dney Hampton

I remember there being a piece on how Hines Ward's mom was ostracized by Koreans for having a mixed child.

will a team still have to pay a tagged player the franchise tag amount if they reach a long term deal after they place it?

No. Paychecks don't start until week 1 and they can always reach a long term deal. But once a team tags a player, he counts towards their cap at the tag-number until the teams reach a new deal

edit: Steelers releasing Aaron Smith

Koreans be racist like that.
There was an episode of some crime show where a mixed race guy (black/chinese) went around raping asian women because of the abuse his mother and himself suffered when he were younger.

Nice to see the downfall of the Steelers beginning. Now we just need Lebeau to retire and I can go back to forgetting about that shit stain of a team for another decade. Bring back the 80s please.

addition by subtraction and put away your boner you're a browns fan and they still are shit. hines ward was a wasted roster spot and is no longer able to compete at a competitive level and aaron smith can't stay healthy, playing 15 games in the past 3 seasons. So how is this the downfall?

What I miss? Hines being released is the end of the Steelers? Or smith?

They are old, and sooner or later it's going to catch up with them. The defense is ancient and this is just the beginning.

Mike Maycok on Rich Eisen podcast ~24 minute mark

"Sam Bradford, if he can stay healthy, is an elite NFL quarterback"

Would keep him over taking RG3 regardless of contract

Holy shit at Bill Simmons having President Obama on the BS Report. While I don't share his political views, I do like a president that sings, fills in brackets, and talks sports.

I've always thought Rivers got too much shit. Dude played a playoff game with a torn up knee. It's not his fault his coach is Norv Turner.

Dunno, sometimes he seems goofy, sometimes douchy, and sometimes like a headcase (his private life, IMO). Makes it hard to root for him. Maybe a bit like Jay Cutler. Now THAT'S a guy who actually gets way too much shit.

Did this get posted?

Aaron Smith is the next Steelers vet to get cut:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/01/aaron-smith-is-the-next-steelers-veteran-to-get-cut/

Another day, another longtime Steelers veteran thrown off board.

Jason La Canfora of NFL Network and Adam Schefter of ESPN report that the Steelers will cut Aaron Smith. This move is even less surprising than the news about Hines Ward coming out on Wednesday.

Smith has only played 15 games in the last three seasons. He may be one of the most underrated players of his generation, but there was simply no way the Steelers could keep him at his current salary at 35 years old.

Raiders will franchise tag Tyvon Branch:

Jay Cutler left the game when he tore his knee up in the playoffs. Rivers stayed in.
