Nodoka is so damn boss in that pic.
Nodoka is the best K-on.
Surprisingly I mostly agree with this -- would just alter the first part to Sunny >= Peace. Still pending as the show continues, of course.
Anyway, it's still such a wonderfully self-referential series. The post-transformation banter was great. Next week will be the first without the "new team member" formula so we'll get a sense for how the normal formula will work, I suppose.

Yeah, Peace is hard to really fit in, since the actual mechanics of her transformation aren't that great, but it's so adorable.....
So far, Smile has a very self aware atmosphere, I wonder how long they'll keep it up.

I dont think it compares that well to My Dearest, but, the instrumental of The Everlasting Guilty Crown is how, and its way more catchy than My Dearest and has a way more dancy beat, especially the ending dozens of seconds where the singer does that moaning or something.
The Everlasting Guilty Crown Boom Boom Satellites Remix - The Last Moment of the Dawn - kind of ruins it since it slows it down so much, dont know what they were trying to do there.
Though putting the Guilty Crown songs in the SSX custom soundtrack does amazing things for these songs when doing tricks or making a HUGE drop.
I like this more.
Inuyasha has some of the best ops/eds, though, IMO. Whenever an anime has a good op/ed, I'll actually watch it, but I've skipped Guilty Crown's every time. Just something about the songs that doesn't click with me.
I wouldn't put it that way, but man, she deserves the situation she's in.

This episode was alright. Marika is definitely getting used to her role as Captain, helping avoid an all out battle that the audience is clearly ready to see happen at this point. =_=; The return of Kuroneko m2 is greeted by glomping (the only proper response). Her attempt at a curtsy was hilarious though. Looks like things might actually heat up next episode (which means it won't, since I've said that quite a few times now). I have to credit the person in charge of making next episode previews; at least they know how to keep me coming back. XD

I finally tried to watch Eiken last night. After about ten minutes, I had to pop two hydroxyzine pills for my nerves and then slept for 14 hours because of the meds. I'm still going to try to make it through the rest.

More Kyousogiga has been confirmed to be in the works, though exactly what form it will take is still unknown. I wasn't a fan of the original, due to it being a confused mess, but it did have promisingly creative art design and animation. If they can expand the concept into something more coherent, I'll be interested.

It was pretty pointless, outside of just letting us get a better feel for the three guys and learn Madoka's backstory some.
Every week when the intro runs, and they have that brief 1-second of the memoria, I wonder if we're ever going to get back to that. Was it really just a cheap way of highlighting T&A early on?! I hope not!
The salute at the start was really, really bad, and I laughed when they brought it back around, questioning it as well. A little self-aware humor is nice.
It's festival time! Hooray! I must have forgotten this was an all-girls school. At least Jersey Club is being kind enough to help out all of their fellow classmates do stuff. My favorite was Madoka blowing the whistle while Mugi and Lan did the heavy lifting of the curtain, hahaha.
Oh, by the way. I don't know if you guys forgot or not, but the show wanted to remind you: LAN IS A GIRL, AND SHE DOES CUTE STUFF. You know, just in case you had forgotten.
I can't use a hammer well either, Lan, don't worry. : (
I always thought the suggestion that television brainwashes people was preposterous, but Izo proved me wrong. At least his two buddies went after him. I was honestly shocked at how well some of the jokes came off during their escapade. Between the blonde guy getting forced to work (and the guy at the bar, haha) and the blue haired guy being unable to buy tickets... Just good stuff.
Izo's was probably the best, though, thinking that he had to do a ritual like he saw on tv. The whole "he is her perfect match!?" stuff had me chuckling, for sure.

Seems things are still going on in the background here. Maybe we'll see a culmination of this stuff soon (perhaps next episode, based on the title)?

I agree with you, overall story-wise (P4 lacks that huge weight for sure), but I liked P4's character interactions + battle system changes better.

I consider that to be a very unlikely outcome, judging by the tone and approach of the first 'story'. It just doesn't seem like something they'd be interested in doing, in fact, I'd wager that's the exact opposite of what they are going for.

This doesn't have the extra magical spark that Anne of Green Gables had, but it was still a good start to another Takahata World Masterpiece Theater show. It payed careful, subtle attention to family dynamics and the environment of Genoa was convincingly portrayed. I'm a little uncertain on why Marco's mother had to go to Argentina - to pay her husband's debts or something? - but I'll chalk that up to the shoddy English subtitles.
I know. It's a shame; I have a feeling it would be a stronger project without Banpresto's meddling.

Yeah, anyone who's watched shounen before would automatically think "rescue arc", before anything else, because it's shounen (even though I constantly praise HxH for subverting the typical shounen traits).

To sum it up in a couple images and completely ignore the plot direction:
Goddamn it, SHAFT.
The finger snap fire spark and hip thrust were the only good elements about it. The forearm shots and the calf shots were boring stylistically, and the calf shots were a repetition of what they did for the forearm shots adding to that. Toei should have just mimic Cure Rouge's from GoGo and kept it short and simple and not worry about adhering to a transformation formula, which they did with the redundant calf shots. The explosion was also bad and its placement was even worse. It looked like Sunny was farting it after the hair transformation, and the flair of the explosion was a whimper because the impact of it is diminished with the angle they've chosen when it would have been better to zoom out while it was happening or shot farther in general. The transformation in general has lots of color but a boring style that isn't far off from how March's was.
