Thought the episode was great, and tbh i thought Daryl's comment about Shane having Otis' gun was fucking fantastic writing, shut up all the haters about Dale reaching in his assumptions.
Also i loved Dale's character, but thought his death was very well written. All the haters here talking about zombie hugging, like they're freaking experts on this zombie physics shit. How do you know? There's a difference between Shane, Rick and Daryl defending themselves and Dale. Dale is an old man, with half the strength and twice the moral compass, he panicked, he is not used to this world like he has said before.
It's like this thread is just showered with negativity. Oh it's boring how they're on the farm, oh lori is a bitch, carl is a whiny kid, poor writing etc. You people don't have a heart, you just aren't connected to the show. Did i want Carl to kill the zombie? yes obviously, but could i understand why he didn't? of course, he's like a 10 year old kid ffs, he was scared shitless.
They've had a shoe-string budget all season and imo since the break the writers have done very, very well in establishing character development. The only character's that have been disappointing have been lori and t-dawg. But even great shows like the Sopranos and the Wire had shittily written characters for god's sake. Every character can't be amazing.
