So uh... what does Apple TV do for me as someone who just uses Amazon through an internet ready TV? Anything?

For me, and I have the original slow model with an internal hard drive, it lets me play all of my music (put my whole library in iTunes) and all of my photos in iPhoto through my home theater in the family room. Use the Remote app on an iPhone/iPod touch to control it and it's even better.
