Apple will sell a lot of these. However, most of these Ipad upgrades are expected. Think I'll wait till IPAD 4 before buying.

Seems like Apple is on a tick tock cycle with the ipad like PC CPUS.

We got the new model with Ipad, then the improved model in Ipad 2. Now we have the new model again in Ipad 3 (HD), and next year will have the improved version!

The gpu is, the question was whether they would make the CPU quadcore. They wouldn't really need to though as ios is basically a single tasking os. There was no doubt that they would have to upgrade the gpu considering the resolution gets quadrupled.

The 4X tegra 3 in graphics a sounds like a bit of hyperbole though.

If the CPU would be quad-core, they would've said it. Instead Cook said "quad-core graphics". It's pretty clear, imo. Too bad people can't read.

And no, the SoC comparison isn't really hyperbole. The A5 is already better.
