Man... this game. I would normally consider myself a patient, tolerant person. But I don't know what it is about his game.

Just had a fun game with people who think they're better than they are. I'm not hot shit, I know this and I'm willing to do what I'm told. But if you're going to tell me what to do then yell at me for doing it... you can just piss off. I don't even know what's running through people's heads sometimes.

Dude, I had a guy fuck up a mid gank as tinker, then scream at the lane he screwed up on for nearly an hour straight. You just gotta laugh at them and play it off. Don't let them get in your head.

Also report the fuck out of them

I don't even know what to report them for. Stupidity sadly isn't an option.

I don't know, I just assume that everyone knows more than me because I've played a whole total of 20 games. So, when they call b and tell me that the enemy team is coming, I teleport back to a safe lane and then they yell at me and complain that I'm new.

We then get into a fight and their fed morphling (not on me, mind you because I have the lowest death count) starts chasing our omniknight. So, our clinkz starts pinging the shit out of omni so I peel off to try and stun morph who we could probably drop between my dragon breath and omni's heal. Well, omni just runs in the opposite direction so our clinkz is pinging the hell out of him, I'm running after him and omni is leading him away. Needless to say, Morph kills him then waveforms out and somehow this is my fault.

I get yelled at and when I mention I couldn't get in range because omni was pulling him away, the team just turns around and says "well, he was running for his life."

What the fuck. What did you want me to do in this situation then?!

Anyway. Whatever. We noobs will be noobs and I shouldn't let it bother me.

At least I would have known what kind of new hero awaits me. Or they could reschedule their test patch day to this wednesday, not the coming one.

I look at it differently. I'm glad that wednesday evening I will know what I get to play the next day instead of having to wait a full week and it feel old news by the time it arrives to stable servers. At least valve was quick to realize their current beta within a beta wasn't going to work out and changed it quick.

What gave it away for me was that his Kotoko account has Dota 2 with a bunch of time on it, and then a TON of Valve games with.... zero playtime on them. Who does that unless they're trying to seem like a normal person.
What gave it away was his post history starting with a "can I have a key" post in the begging thread followed by starting casual discussion in this thread almost right away; combined with the almost empty steam account, very familiar eastern sounding nicknames and funky avatars I was pretty damn sure all along. My friend referred to him as Meeru a few times, always resulting in zero response, suspiciously enough. This was nice guy Meeru though, look, 0 abandons! Was fun while it lasted.
Now waiting for the next personality...

I'm OK with them moving the Test Client to Wednesdays and updating the main client Thursdays. These past few weeks have been hype-less due to the fact that it would take a whole week for a hero to be moved to the main client. This should restore a lot of that original excitement.

These past few weeks have been hypeless cause they havent added anyone, despite the whole "test build will let us put out content faster" bullshit.

I don't mind the low amount of new content right now, the only reason the first big batch of delays got to me was that it was the 6.73 update. The test build though is really just pathetic, maybe the new version will be better. Hopefully Valve puts it out in the morning to give more time to bug fixing.

Well, thus far I've played 7 games (3 wins, 4 losses). I'm starting to get the hang of things. First impressions:

I'm pretty much exclusively playing the Skeleton King and I'm rather enjoying his abilities. I find the vampiric aura to be quite useful in the early game at keeping me farming, and I love to move into my damage spike/stun so I can gank unsuspecting players if they leave themseles a bit too open. The mana ring is a great upgrade when I get it, so I can spike more often, and the bonus temporary 150 mana is nice for when I get my ressurect ultimate (140mana).

The worst thing anyone has said to me is 'oh brother' in my first game when I said 'this is my first game, prepare for me to suck'. But, then again, nobody seems to be all that great. Only in 1 game did anyone buy a carrier (and I seemed to be the only one using it. Man, that thing is useful!).

Anyways, this is a cool game. The character art bugged me at first and the 'just barely not WC3'-ness of it all is a little off-putting. But at it's core, I think it's pretty enjoyable.

Damn Meeru, move the fuck on. Plenty of communities out there. You wanted to be in this one, you shouldn't have been a dickwad.

He was actually somewhat cool!!

I was going to keep him as a friend, but he deleted me lol.

You want to hold off on Vampiric Aura for a bit since you want to farm safely. With the Aura, it pushes your lanes forward and makes it easier to be ganked.

Only played 5 games so far but the Spirit Breaker is by far my favorite.

Charging through a whole line of creeps and heroes to smash that squishy one I was eyeing when I was waiting to respawn is so satisfying. Then when they try and escape you can teleport to em and bring the pain.

Not sure how Meeru is getting all these accounts when i have read some people waiting years to get approved onto Neogaf. There was this one junior that got approved after waiting 5 years.

Anyone else have that hero they're trash with but love playing as?

That hero for me is Pudge. I love watching people play him. For a bit while Meeru was aliased, I would be fascinated watching him play Pudge. Another person I love watching is n0b and Dendi. Seems like everyone is better with him than I am ;_;

Now for some random Pudge vids of myself (from like less than 20 minutes ago).

No luck but skill

Lucky Pudge

Before anyone rips me a new one, yes I am trash tier. Would recommend reading the description before you tell me how bad I am.

I always dream of being good with ShadowFiend. Its probably from the days of seeing people just absolutely stomp with Soulstealer in HoN.
He's also one of those hero's, that when you see someone playing him well, you know he must be good, because he's a tough hero.

I've said it a few times, just mute assholes immediately. Makes the game a lot more enjoyable.

I'd love to be good at playing Invoker but I haven't picked him in a real game yet. I could just spam Tornado and EMP but that's boring.

oh yeah, him too. I had this Shadow Fiend on my team that was absolutely destroying anything that even dared to twitch in his direction. Soooooooooooooooooooo glad I was on his team for that match.

Yeah, this is solid advice. I just have to remember there's a mute function now.

The game I played with him he was really nice. That said, what he did was still pretty despicable.

I think I've been in a total of two games where I wasn't the one who bought the courier. I know this because, the first I actually did and was surprised to see two by the fountain and when I checked the log found I bought it second. The second time this happened, I bought it in lane and I think someone went back to buy it because mine was still sitting on the ground when I returned later in the match. So I just resold it.

All of them.

This man speaketh the truth.

I can't do sand king anymore, can never seem to combo correctly with him.

Had my first game with pugna last night though; really versatile but holy crap is he ever fragile.

somebody said i played the best invoker he ever seen <3 had to commend hom

i guess just useing every spell of invoker makes you better then average invokers =)

Maybe there's a madness to this abusive community. Played a match where everyone on my team was super polite to each other and working together and we lost. One teammate on voice was even thanking us for a good effort (which it was since we managed to rack despite team battles not going super well)... Then I played a match where our teammates were bickering at each other constantly, alchemist, our supposed carry fed for most of the game.. My friend, who has maybe 5 games total, playing Furion(was attacking towers without treants) for the first time getting bitched at as well by Captain Caps Lock the Dark Seer who is calling "GG... MY TEAMMATES ARE RETARDS" the whole time. In spite of all this and losing mid racks first , we somehow win.

Yes.

But it's the learning path so it's normal. Your reaction times will be faster if you assign easy hotkeys for you and learn to use them.

Also, don't create trees with Furion if we're not pushing. =3

Course, while you're learning those hotkeys, you're going to have some fun and embarrassing moments...

Depends, if you're not doing anything that requires treants, make a couple and send them into the jungle to kill stuff for you.

Anything to raise dat gpm.

I started with the standard EMP/Tornado invoker, but I practiced building an Exort invoker and use Sun Strike/Chaos Meteor more. It's really great as well and the extra damage is good for last hitting too. Gonna keep playing him more often to get all the combo's down on all builds.
