Yep, it's been years now. Don't remember why the author put it on hiatus.
I really like the story and the main character, so it being frozen like that when some stuff were coming to light was... painful.

Jellal v Jura was more epic than I expected. So much magical powers that I was litrally drooling in amazement from it all. The drawing the signs in the sky in the midst of attack topped the cake as well as the near completion of that Star Destruction magic. Would have been so nice to see it come through. Ultear's, Natsu's and cos faces were priceless throughout as well. Favorite scene was Jellal laughing too.

Hyped for the next round, and Natsu's, Gray's, Jellal's fights in the future. However with the last page, Fairy Tail just got even deeper.[/QUOTE]

I just found them uninteresting, a bit annoying and especially boring, really.
The cool people were Izayoi, the dude kicking stuff etc, but I was forced to watch the 3 brats for most of the episodes at the start. Yet in the manga the 3 seem more tolerable.

I find the art in the manga alright, nothing special but it does its work. Then again, I also don't have a problem with reading Ninomiya's stuff, and the art there is... well, it is what it is, so who knows.

If Mashima would make them lose fair and square that'd be another thing,

Then the judge gets all peanuts when Horo Horo uses multiple spirits to do different oversouls... but this is what Silva did in the first exam.

I'm guessing he's saying when the actual mystery behind the tournament comes to the forefront, and everyone gets their one on one battles, them beating their opponents won't seem an asspull because they technically didn't really lose against their opponents in the tournament.

But deep down you know they're all going to get wiped out by some super strong endboss near the end but the power of friendship/tomorrow/asspull will prevail regardless.

When the council guy does his plan FT will stop him. When FT stops him, it won´t be seen as an ass pull power up, because FT members lost due to cheating. Therefor it would be not far fetched when FT save the day.

For the first time in 5Ds (GX > 5D's > yugioh reg), I litrally found myself doing like Jack Atlas and standing in shock. Crow is perhaps the most epic duelist there pulling out four blackwing cards in his first turn, dual tune special summons, and managing to undermine the utterly annoying Mirror Force to win in one turn. Shortest non special type match Ive ever seen and it was stunning.
