As long as it isn't the work of Kahn having some secret meeting with the Lakers while they are in MN, I'll be ok with the trade. Wolves don't need to give up the crazy amount of young players that were in that rumored Gasol trade from earlier...

On a happier note, I'm pumped for this white out game tonight! TC should be rocking especially hard with LA in town and the special event night.

Let's try this again.

You really wanna play the "he still mad" card with a guy whose franchise has 4 rings during the same time your franchise was the joke of the league under Isiah Thomas?

To be fair, the first ring the Spurs got was over the Knicks, meaning we weren't the joke of the league at that time, so they only have 3 rings during the time that we were the joke of the league.

Also, Isiah took over the Knicks in december 2003, which was after the Spurs won their second ring, so that means they only won two while Isiah was busy ruining the Knicks.

primarily looking at D Lee's contract.
iirc, has 5yrs left and $11 million and up for the remaining.
Holy shit, his contract is that huge? Then, why would the Lakers want him? The lineup with Lee and Curry isn't going to win a title, and you want to be stuck with Lee for that long? That's worse than Boozer's situation, lol.

EDIT: Nevermind, they could just amnesty him.

I tihnk Id rather have curry+lee than watson+boozer.

yeah, that trade is looking might sexy with the amnesty.
Boozer is better, and his contract is a year shorter than Lee's. Curry is also injury prone.

we get to see more of curry's mom at staples.
you can't beat that.

Still no confirmation on anything Gasol related -- and I checked with one of the best-connected people I know. GMs call HIM to find out.

get this. Pau is a lot better than Boozer and better contract. And Watson isn't worth the downgrade.

And dumping MWP.

I'll do Pau + MWP for Boozer, Gibson, Watson, and Brewer. Maybe.
Deal.

Bulls could sign Mike James back, and they get an OK backup for Deng so he can finally rest a bit more. Losing Brewer will be tough, and it'll be a major gamble on Rip, but if we're going all for it this year, then I would do it. Though, those numbers don't work, I believe.

EDIT: Nevermind, numbers work.

EDIT2: Wait a minute, Artest is signed for another 3 years? Damn you guys gave him a terrible contract. This trade really is win or bust for the Bulls this year, lol.

The Rockets, who also are exploring scenarios that would bring Dwight Howard to Houston on the hope that he could be persuaded to stay beyond this season, have been assertive in their pursuit of Gasol

Nothing has heated up yet for the Trail Blazers, who have three players attracting interest on the trade market: Jamal Crawford, Raymond Felton and Gerald Wallace. One league source said the Blazers have made it clear they're accepting offers for Wallace.

The Cavs have been "aggressive" in seeking future assets for veteran Antawn Jamison, who has earned praise throughout the organization for his professional approach to being part of Cleveland's rebuilding plan, league sources said. Jamison has never complained or asked to be traded, but one team that intrigues his camp is the Lakers. The Cavs and Lakers spoke this week, but L.A. did not express serious interest in Jamsion, one of the sources said.

uhhhhh

In addition to Michael Beasley, who is on the radar for the Lakers, Celtics, Magic and Nets, the Timberwolves are gaging interest in Anthony Tolliver and Wayne Ellington, sources said.

GET ON THE PHONES GMS! ELLINGTON AND TOLLIVER ON THE BLOCK

Lakers front office telling people that "nothing is happening" with Pau Gasol, league sources say. For now, anyway.

no thanks.

Lakers fan think Houston taking PoS' contract from hell isn't enough and are demanding Top 3 Western Point Guard Kyle Lowry in return.

Amazing.

A. If you're starting a "Which Players Peaked With the Best Four-Year Runs?" discussion, you'd have to include 1984-87 Bird (3 MVPs, 2 titles); 1987-90 Magic (3 MVPs, 2 titles); 1990-93 Jordan (2 MVPs, 3 titles);17 1961-64 Russell (3 straight MVPs, 4 titles); 1965-1968 Wilt (3 straight MVPs, 1 title); and 1971-74 Kareem (3 MVPs, 1 title).

B. LeBron would have a chance for four straight MVPs if The Decision didn't unleash last spring's "I just don't feel right about voting for him, I'm picking Derrick Rose" backlash that eventually corrupted too many voters and media people. Including me. Nobody has ever won four straight MVP awards. 2009-12 LeBron and 1990-93 Jordan probably came the closest. And Russell was the only one who won four MVPs in five years.

C. You may have noticed that everyone else on that "three MVPs in four years" list won at least one title. So if Miami blows the title this spring, LeBron really will be making history. No pressure or anything.

Simmons mentions Nash + gortat for Bynum.

I would do that.

Nash
Kobe
MWP/Barnes
Pau
Gortat.

That's a contender. DO IT MITCH.

That's fucking highway robbery and the Phoenix Suns should be contracted if they let that happen. Veto that shit Stern if it happens. Fuck you, Sarver, don't let that happen.
