The grey one next to the white hospital bed is called "Horse Hitching" in the animal accessory category on bricklink.

Yeah, I think it's actually from the 7188 King's Carriage Ambush, which would make it a horse hitching for sure. Thing is, that doesn't necessarily help my sorting...Haha

Yeah, star wars sets use light and dark bluish gray.

Not all of them - depends on the year, as is the same for any set with grey in it. The bluish greys (aka bley) started in 2004 - everything 2003 or earlier is old grey or old dark grey. Everything 2004 or newer is the new bluish grey or dark bluish grey. Sets that were in production in both 2003 and 2004 you can sometimes find in either color - I know the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer fits into this situation.

Here's a good visual I've found on old vs bluish for both dark and light:

This is an awesome pic, but fuck Lego for doing this. -_- The fact that some of their greys are OOP is just dumb.

I was missing two very very basic pieces from my Death Star (need to call in and get them replaced) so I tried using some old pieces and I thought my grey bricks had just faded over time.

Got super excited when I saw buy 1 get 1 half price on Lego on Toys R Us's home page. Then when you click, it is only on City and Duplo. Dammit. Was all set to get two modulars.

Put together Slave 1 today. This is the 2nd time out of 3 Lego sets I've bought with stickers where the stickers were messed up. It was all folded up and a few had come off and gotten stuck onto the plastic bags. I put them on anyway, but you can see the creases. I guess I will write to Lego for a replacement, if just for the principle and to suggest they package stickers better. Considering the high quality control they have for everything else, it's pretty irritating. It should be easy to put some cardboard insert to keep the stickers from getting bent up.

But otherwise wow this is an awesome build. I think this has been my favorite set so far (out of the X-Wing, TIE, Alien Helicopter, and the Creator propeller plane). It's not repetitive at all and has some neat things I wasn't expecting. Love the fold out rockets and the little covered cubbie holes. The rotating wings/cockpit seat works great.

The rubber band mechanism to move the flick rockets into position doesn't work that great. First 2 rockets work fine but I had to help the next 2 along. But I'm not going to shoot rockets around anyway, so no big deal.

Boba's cape and helmet antenna are great. I missed that part at first since I skipped the mini-fig part of the instructions. I have no idea what to do with the clone trooper accessories. They look shitty, but maybe that's why they're giveaways.

Debating now about making town hall my next modular. Still need Pet Shop and Grand Emporium, but those can be gotten with the next Toys r Us sale, while Town Hall can get me double VIP. Decisions. Either way, on Monday I am ordering something.

As long as you watch that GE doesn't go OOP, I say go for it. Town Hall has been getting rave reviews.

Found this the other day

Still works perfectly. Might pull it apart and make the second build, the truck. I found some other instructions online for it too, for a sports car that looked pretty cool.

Ah man this look AMAZING! I just checked the price however...yikes. To be expected with an OOP set but still. Bummer, it would have been a great set to build. It's more neutral than a Starwars kit and I'm a huge F1 fan.

Thinking that is the best thing. Just got Fire Brigade, so gonna wait for major sale at toys r us for emporium and pet shop. Town Hall does not look as fun, but I know it's the little touches that will make it amazing.

I got my missing bag from Fire Brigade in the mail yesterday. Built the truck last night. For a smallish build, it was still pretty awesome with several non-conventional techniques.

Looking into doing a bit more on my on going Space MOC, frame needs some work but been thinking about the engines. Having just finished the SSD I was happy with it and will draw inspiration but was left wanting more from the engines.

This is what I would like to emulate on my MOC. Anyone have any hints or tips for creating engines like this?

take a look ar the UCS arc fighter MOC which also has instructions. That has some really nice engine work

Got the Obi-Wan Starfighter in the mail yesterday. Only purchased it because it was on sale and I wasn't sure how my live in g/f would take to me buying Lego sets. Turns out she ended sitting down with me to help me build it. =D

Was a fun set and I was surprised it was over 600 pieces.

It's still sitting on my shelf dspite having a bunch of parts I need, I'm half way to making it only my second display model behind the UCS X-Wing.

With three series (6, 7, 8) of the collectible minifigs releasing this year, we should start seeing Series 7 in early April.
